And so begins BioWare's 5+ hour long apology for ME3's ending. They are sorry, so very very sorry. Here, have some feels, Mass Effect fans! We even threw in a Joker ripoff villain just for you! =3

All facetious tone aside, I want this.

Well hell looks like the first ME3 DLC I'm interested in.
I didn't see anything about Leviathan or Omega that looked interesting and I heard they were really short(for the price remember folks everything in Aus is 40% to 60% more) and that Omega was mainly a shooting gallery but hell if a GOTY edition was released on steam I'd buy it..... On special of course ;)

Maybe it's because I've been playing the multiplayer all this time that I think this way. The last couple of DLC's for that have been all about delivering what the multiplayer community was asking for. From adding a new Collector faction, to introducing playable Volus
Wait, Wait, Wait they added a playable Volus, damn I wish I still had some Xbox Live Gold (and the patience to grind all those hours) to see that.
Yes, four separate playable Volus...Voluses...Volusi...Volusians? Whatever. There's an Adept, an Engineer, a Sentinel and a Vanguard. You can even get a "Biotic God" banner and then display it while playing as the Volus Adept. And with the new DLC, you can even put a Batarian Gauntlet on him to give the same massive punch as the Batarian!

I don't care what anyone says, but the ME3 MP team puts out some awesome DLC. =)

Wait wait wait..... So you're telling me I get to team up with Wrex and Zaeed..... To apparently fight The Joker...... AND I get to sex Garrus again.

I'm sold. And I plan to donate the price of the DLC in the name of every person who whines about it not fixing plot holes

I agree that it looks very fan-service-y and doesn't really make ANY sense in the grand scheme of the plot the third game, AND that Joker ripoff is a bit meh... But I want to play it. Even if it's a metaphorical goodbye, it still looks like a decent goodbye.

Tonally the whole thing is so weird though! Shepard is so casual about being attacked, I can just picture that faceless villain pleading with him "come on man, I tried really hard here! Take my evil plan seriously!"
It all seems so... meta. Like they're aware they're in a game and are acting accordingly or something? I want this but it looks... odd.

Still though, Jack and Miranda!

Is it just me or do the voice actors sounds kinda tired?

Like their hearts aren't really in the series anymore, which would be completely understandable (not referring to any ending controversy, just that the series has been finished for a while now).

It sounds forced. On part of the developers, for pushing out yet another DLC for a saga that's already finished. On part of the voice actors, who don't sound involved anymore. On part of the story, where Shepard's kinda done it all before.

Maybe it's just me being somewhat tired of Mass Effect but I get the distinct impression that I'm not the only one. And it just feels sad to have a DLC that's giving off the impression it was made by people who were really tired of it all.
Same here, I noticed that too. That was actually really sad to hear. But you also forgot the writers because they seem out of it too [small](that "random acts of violence" line made me cringe hard Dx)[/small]. I can't tell if it's Bioware seriously trying to make amends with the fans or if EA is doing what EA does best and push them to make this DLC. :p

You know, I find it kinda funny that I'm not interested in this DLC. Hell, with any of the DLC. After the whole controversy with the ending, my interest in the entire series has gone away. But I think the reason why I'm not interested in the Mass Effect 3 DLC in particular is not because of the crap-tacular ending itself. It's because the fact that it ended all together. Even if we didn't get that terrible ending, I don't think I would have been interested in the DLC. It's done. I've seen the end. There's no reason to go back. Bioware has put themselves in a corner ending the trilogy, which was going to happen no matter what the quality of the ending was.

That said, they've seem to realize this by putting their foot down and saying that this is the last DLC. In which case, good for Bioware. Just let it end.

This sounds interesting.

Though I'm going to hold out until the Mass Effect 3 Ultimate Edition. I haven't played any of the DLC for ME:3 so getting them in a bundle should be a better deal.

That looks terrible, but in a way that really, really makes me want to play it. I think I'll splurge on it.

OH, hey, Zaeed is back! Now I can ignore him completely all over again! You know, with all due respect to his voice actor. So, the whole crew is back, as long as they're still alive? Lovely, and I already only really use four of five of them from ME2 on a consistent basis, now they can get more screentime! You know, those few moments at the character select screen. Bench time counts, right?

But, in all seriousness, I'll be getting this quite soon, because, let's face it, it's not like I don't want more Mass Effect.

Wait when does this DLC take place seeing how the whole pressure of saving the Earth from the Reapers wouldn't exactly give Sheperd plenty of R & R. Sure he had some in ME3 but still...
Also the ending crack me up despite being cheesy and would they really all get together to take a group shot?

Well, this looks like a character-focused entry, at long last. They finally remembered what made the series great. But if they wanted to make a mission where all of your squad members are present and participating, they should have made that the ending mission. You know, the finale? Not a random shootout with Joker wannabe's.

Looks pretty good, but I doubt I'll be getting it. For a long while, at least.

More sorely needed interaction with Tali, more Zaeed, more Wrex. Yeah I'm probably going to end up getting this. Still going to wait to hear some opinons before getting it, but I'm sadly OCD when it comes to this series at its DLC. -sigh-

Although this will probably be the last thing I buy in the franchise. The trilogy is over, so now we're entering the period where Mass Effect is going to become EA's version of Halo. I always knew that was going to happen anyway, so I decided a long time ago that Mass Effect 3 was going to be the last game in the series I buy.

As far as the complaints about Shepard relaxing when the Reaper war is going on? Yeah it really doesn't bother me. Considering the first game had you in a "race against time", meanwhile you spend the majority of the game driving around on random planets that have nothing to do with your mission and stopping an asteroid strike... which has nothing to do with your mission.

This would have worked FAR better as an EPILOGUE rather than a pointless INTERMISSION...

... You know, if they had designed their ending to allow for that. Hard to have "one last mission" when you know that the true "last mission" and it's franchise-ending color-coded ending is still waiting in the wings...

I am excited about this, and regardless of what others may say I am going to pick it up. For any flaws the story had, I really enjoyed the trilogy; these games are some of the few I refuse to trade in or sell (I still have KOTOR 1 and 2 as well...). I especially liked that group picture they took at the end...looking forward to it

Dammit, I was done. I was just going to ignore this and go on with my life. Now though, I must buy it. It appears I've lost my battle with Indoctrination. Oh well. At least I finally get to use Wrex again.

Man, this trailer makes me want it so much more!! But, seeing as the other DLCs were 'meh' overall, I'll wait and hear what the boyfriend thinks first (that, and I need to somehow make more room in my hard drive and get the money for it). God, I hope this isn't a disappointment.

And for all the people who keep saying 'the galaxy is burning and Shep is busy partying? Stoopid!', keep in mind that while Shep and co. are at the Citadel, they're gonna have to spend some time waiting for various reasons, such as the Normandy getting refilled with various supplies, getting new gear, and whatnot. Plus, at some point they need to have shore leave. Spending too much time involved in combat reduces a soldier's combat effectiveness, so at some point they need a break, lest they break. Soldiers got time off during WWII, but the whole world was at war. Would you argue that they should have always be fighting?

Hang on... ..we have characters there who are *Spoilers* most definitely dead by part way through ME3, and other's who you won't see till after that point. Why do I have the feeling this is going to be some sort of hallucination on Shepard's part?
...?

The only characters who are "confirmed dead" are
Mordin and Legion
Everyone else is dead only if you messed up.

OT: This like the best fanwank I have ever seen.

God damn you Bioware, I WANT TO HATE YOU.

Zaeed is in this in a potentially active role? Sold. Just for that.
Surprising, considering his VA died a month ago.
They've been working on this for a while, and VA is often done mid-early so it makes sense.

Either that or they got someone who sounds like him like they did with Mordin.
