Ohhh, I like what I'm seeing. More abilities, different enemies and improved movement.

However, I have to say that their presenter gets on my nerves something fierce. I'm sure you're a nice guy Mr Silverman, but you just have to give the attempted catch phrases a rest.

"And now, it's time for insider."
"Urrrrgh."
"... reminding you to keep you finger... on the pulse.
"Oh god, someone shoot him."

hey you guys gonna improve the RPG experience? Right? ...guys?

rpg...?
Actually they are. They are making leveling and abilities upgrades a lot deeper than in ME2 and a lot less annoying than in ME1. So they are finally making it right. As for choices, it's a Mass Effect game, so of course the Paragon/Renegade choices will be there.

No, you don't, though you may. ME lets you choose, how to play and experience it. :)

Personally I like to focus on interactng with other characters and the story. So I played ME in a fashion that suited me best: Low difficulty settings, autoupgrade for everyone except Shepard...
It was a great experience - like playing an interactive movie and moreover one's mates seemed to be much more selfreliant and independent ( 'cause you didn't need to babysit 'em). Even the story itself felt more authentic... more like a race against time...

Damn, I want to see the infiltrator special melee attack and new power.

OOOOHHH! I'm happy about this! I like the new additions!

I did notice that it took that De-shielded guardian a second to think about climbing OVER that cover, though...hopefully that will be fixed in the final game.

Aside from that, it's looking good!
He's wearing what looks like a couple hundred pounds of armor, he was probably thinking, fuck, do I really have to jump this? Hurk, *thud* fucking waist high walls.

Oh good, more news about Mass Effect 3's combat. Because we obviously haven't heard enough about it yet.

Come on Bioware, can't you talk about something other than combat for once? Please?
Took the words right out of my mouth.

I'm getting sick of all the combat, I want to see something like locations or characters or something other than Shepard hitting dudes.

The one thing that comes to mind as a long time Infiltrator, in that I think that class is being subjugated to only mirror the soldier class except with two or three tech powers. I was more hoping the infiltrator actually got to play with some infiltration mechanics, with some sneaky sneaky options and a little flashy hand to hand moves.

Eh, whatever. All I need is the M-98 Widow and everything else is just paper targets at that point.

Great. Now can we talk about how they're improving the RP experience? Guys? Hello? Anyone? Beu... awe fuck it. *grumbles in corner*
I figured everyone liked it perfectly. I think they only really need to add to story and combat, but I'm sure they got something.

Looks like the combat's all well and good, but to quote a suggestion from one of the Facebook guys that I'd like to see.

Here's a flocking improvement: make every waist high object in the game NOT be indestructible.
That would be an interesting improvement. It at least made (some) sense in Gears of War 3, where not everyone had an explosive ordinance to waste on cover and small-arms fire obviously wouldn't drill through some of the dilapidated walls, but there really is no excuse in Mass Effect 3, where any competent soldier can use his biotics to blow up a wall.

Also, I think the only reason they're focusing on combat exclusively is because people got pissed when they were leaking ME2 story details back when THAT was coming out, and because combat was one of the major gripes with ME3.

Not before the CoD people have converted to the Mass Effect people!

Looks like the same chest-high-wall party, every single battle with 1-2 new abilities. I'll pass.

OK, we get it. You improved the combat.

Now for me, Mass Effect (and especially the sequel) can be divided into two parts: shooting bits and interesting bits. So can we PLEASE hear something about stuff that will actually motivate me to buy the damn game?

Yes, it's a mix between the skill types of Mass Effect 2 with the variety and options of Mass Effect 1.

That good enough for you?

And no, the combat isn't any different, at least for soldiers. I mean, I couldn't find the button for melee attacks, but I doubt it's that interesting.

Still getting the CE on release day, though.
Actually, no it's not. See that's almost literally all Bioware or EA has said on the matter this whole time. Instead they've been trumping combat and how it's so much better this whole time.

As awesome as the ass-kicking looks, I hope they have made the actual talking to other people part just as awesome.

Bioware, I did not get into ME for the combat. Just sayin'.
