Actually they are. They are making leveling and abilities upgrades a lot deeper than in ME2 and a lot less annoying than in ME1. So they are finally making it right. As for choices, it's a Mass Effect game, so of course the Paragon/Renegade choices will be there.funksobeefy said:hey you guys gonna improve the RPG experience? Right? ...guys?
rpg...?
He's wearing what looks like a couple hundred pounds of armor, he was probably thinking, fuck, do I really have to jump this? Hurk, *thud* fucking waist high walls.aegix drakan said:OOOOHHH! I'm happy about this! I like the new additions!
I did notice that it took that De-shielded guardian a second to think about climbing OVER that cover, though...hopefully that will be fixed in the final game.
Aside from that, it's looking good!
Took the words right out of my mouth.Irridium said:Oh good, more news about Mass Effect 3's combat. Because we obviously haven't heard enough about it yet.
Come on Bioware, can't you talk about something other than combat for once? Please?
Does "Incinerate" ring any bells?DVS BSTrD said:Don't understand why the Engineer's Melee is fire- based.
A lame weekly show watched by BW fans.ruthaford_jive said:Okay, that looks cool and all... but what the fuck is Bioware Pulse?
I figured everyone liked it perfectly. I think they only really need to add to story and combat, but I'm sure they got something.sir.rutthed said:Great. Now can we talk about how they're improving the RP experience? Guys? Hello? Anyone? Beu... awe fuck it. *grumbles in corner*
That would be an interesting improvement. It at least made (some) sense in Gears of War 3, where not everyone had an explosive ordinance to waste on cover and small-arms fire obviously wouldn't drill through some of the dilapidated walls, but there really is no excuse in Mass Effect 3, where any competent soldier can use his biotics to blow up a wall. Here's a flocking improvement: make every waist high object in the game NOT be indestructible.
Not before the CoD people have converted to the Mass Effect people!Irridium said:Oh good, more news about Mass Effect 3's combat. Because we obviously haven't heard enough about it yet.

Actually, no it's not. See that's almost literally all Bioware or EA has said on the matter this whole time. Instead they've been trumping combat and how it's so much better this whole time.SirBryghtside said:Yes, it's a mix between the skill types of Mass Effect 2 with the variety and options of Mass Effect 1.sir.rutthed said:Great. That good enough for you?
And no, the combat isn't any different, at least for soldiers. I mean, I couldn't find the button for melee attacks, but I doubt it's that interesting.
Still getting the CE on release day, though.
