Yet there has been mass disappointment about the game in general outside of this site, not just the ending or DLC.
From what I've seen, both here an elsewhere, practically everyone has declared ME3 as one of the most emotional, affecting, strongest games ever created, until the ending.

I have stated, in numerous threads, why I think Bioware is the model for everything that is wrong with the industry these days. I don't buy their shitty games, and as a huge fan of Bauldur's Gate I and II, that sounds incredibly shocking to hear coming from my own lips.

In short, if Bioware stopped treating gamers like cattle, bucked up, and delivered some quality, complete games with a fair amount of polish to it, I would have no problem. Believe me, I would love to see the next CD Projekt Red of the West. But lying to the consumers is not the way to go about it. And assuming this business practice they've developed of late continues to charge ahead in full force, then excuse me, but I would not be saddened if the company were to fall to it's knees, like I honestly think it deserves.
Well, this is getting nowhere. I'm not telling you what to think. I'm saying that loudly and publicly proclaiming your desire to see someone fail comes off as crass.
No, me offering criticism does not equal being crass. It means being a consumer who is able to think for themselves.
It doesn't make gamers look better when we act like this.
Yes, let's continue to look like sheep. If developers don't like what I have to say, then they can go to hell. There's a reason who some of the greatest devs have dedicated time to listening to their fans. It's what makes games better, and it's what makes the industry a more productive and profitable place, for both developers and consumers.
Go ahead and tell me why you have made your decision, but keep the more malicious statements confined to the theater of your own mind.
Are my thoughts malicious? Possibly, but they're certainly not uncalled for, especially when I've said why I find their development habits to be so wrong.

If somebody doesn't do their job, or somebody doesn't do their job well, they shouldn't be doing that job. Call it benevolence, but it's the truth.

By the time they address the issues, most will have moved on. Its a standard delay tactic. The people who haven't played the game aren't sitting there on the forums waiting for them to say anything. They aren't even involved with the game yet. Either they are going to address the issues or they are not. They clearly are not going to.

Casting the fanbase aside is what Electronic Arts and any company under them does. The only target audience they have, is the next customer. If you've bought a game, you don't matter anymore. They have your money and thats all they wanted. The only way you can fight it. Is to fight the urge to give them money ever again.

I haven't even started ME2 yet, decided to finish ME2 once more first to get me up to scratch.

Luckily for me I only play around an hour a day so by the time I get onto ME3/The ending, most of, if not all of the issues will have been addressed.

However looking through these threads, I see a few people that have complained about this ending, but in a previous discusion described games as a form of art. Now to me art is a matter of opinion, it was good enough for the artists, and good enough for alot of consumers.

Now if I was an artist, I'm sure i'd respond better to constructive criticism, as opposed to people moaning 'Bioware have done a poor job and I'm not happy and I'm letting everyone know but Bioware, and no I'm not even going to use the time it's taken to give this whinge to give Bioware one suggestion for a possible improvement'

C'mon guys, take a step back and look at what you're saying/doing.

We're getting a wire or two crossed here. I said to express your decision and why you arrived at it. That is criticism because you are saying, "What you did was wrong and here's why."
Which is exactly what I did, no?

Punctuating that with, "I hope you fucking choke," or something similarly mean-spirited is not part of the actual criticism. It's just spite. And this is why the internet is a terrible place to look for criticism: nobody here knows what the fuck it actually is.
Wishing somebody gets fired from McDonalds =/= wishing somebody would die. Exaggerate it all you want, but it's not the same thing. Unless, by your logic, the boss telling you "If you don't get those FAX reports done ASAP you're fired" = "I hope you get hit by a truck."

I would take that sentiment more seriously if that was what I actually said. At what point in, "Go ahead and tell me why you have made your decision," did you read, "Get back in line you mindless consumer whore!"?
You said (and I quote) "It doesn't make gamers look better when we act like this," i.e "It doesn't make gamers look better when we don't take shit from terrible developers."

So basically you're saying, "I have a right to act like a dick, but screw you for calling me one." Glad we got that cleared up.
Nope. I'm saying I have the right to criticize whatever I damn well please provided I give sufficient reasons as to why I dislike it. Which I have. Several times.
If you want to label me a dick because I don't take shit, then by all means, do it - somebody has to call out the bullshit.

If this leads to people losing their jobs, that's sadly how it goes. But I don't deliberately invoke it. I once got into a fight with customer service of a company who failed to deliver a package I had ordered. They accused me of being a thief, and lying to try and get free software from them. Did a part of me want this person's head on a pike metaphorically speaking? Yes. But I didn't say that out loud because I was raised better than that. Maybe she lost her job, maybe she didn't. Since I ended up having to take this to her bosses, it's not as if they couldn't have known.

I eventually got my software after several days of fighting, but it brought me to the decision never to do business with them again, and I will relate my story to anyone who values my opinion. Other than that, I see no reason to rant and rave and call upon the gods of wrath to rain fiery retribution upon them for slighting me that one time. And I don't get why people think that it should be encouraged to act spiteful in public.
That's a neat story, but here's the thing, I never once deliberately wished harm upon anyone who worked for Bioware. Was I malicious? Possibly, but never once was I violent or wishing physically harm unto them. I just want to see the gaming industry return to the beautiful place it once was. And the only way that's going to happen is if the community speaks up.

Man. if only people bitched this hard about day one DLC's. We'd be getting free games by now.
You really manage to get over all of these Mass Effect threads, don't you? Does it really bother you THAT much?
Honestly I get where Zeel comes from to an extent. I hate seeing people get praise for screwing up when people have done what they did way better and no one recognizes it. Especially when the people getting praise both seem like they are half assing it (I say seeming since even beforehand it seemed rushed) and that they have completely forgotten their fanbase and cast them aside. I stopped being a Bioware fan shortly after DA2 when they were basically saying they don't give a damn about their old fans anymore. Especially when SWTOR was coming out and they were pretty much saying they were going to extort us for all our money for a WoW clone with Revan in it. So I get it bothering him that fans are still sucking up to Bioware when they are being complete dicks to their old fans who have legitimate complaints and have gone a very off putting route of sensoring everything they don't like. Though I wouldn't bother trying to convince fanboys otherwise I might as well try to stop the ocean from moving.
I actually got the wrong idea from his posts. The few I had seen made it sound like he was bitching about everyone taking Bioware to task for fucking up so hard. I read some of his posts again and realized it seems he is just as annoyed with Bioware as I am, so I guess I take it back.
I understand where he's coming from too but then again you have to realize that for the past few months he's been bitching about Bioware and swearing at people that have a different opinion then him. He's apparently one infraction away from being banned so that makes me a little happy.

OT: I do hope the Truth DLC rumors turn out to be true.
