My Birthday is tomorrow so I thought Id ask what some of my fellow Escapist's do for their birthdays. Is it a big deal to you? are their any traditions you go through every year? I'd love some good celebration ideas

This year I was drunk and alone for my birthday. It seems to be becoming a tradition.

Used to be me and my friends would go paintballing every year. Now that we're all over 19 we grill up some steaks, drink a few beers and sit around on the porch or head to the casino buffet.

Birthdays aren't a big deal for me. Wow, I managed to survive another year.
My birthday is usually spent doing normal day-to-day things. I prefer to get presents all year round rather than in one big cluster in one day (I don't celebrate Christmas, either.).

Happy birthday for tomorrow, though ^_^

My last birthday I did absolutely nothing special. Just a long workday, 17 hours, eating, and sleeping. The year before I had only an 8 hour work day, spent rest of the day building a dog fence and received a text message "Nice birthday you have there".

I have an exam on my 21st birthday! On the bright side, it's my last exam, so everyone's gonna be up for a bit of a party that evening.

Mine is in...2 months and 3 days. I don't make a massive deal about it, but I usually do something. They seem to be getting smaller each year.

I get the largest pizza from my favourite pizza place and eat it myself. It is a tradition I have. Why is it a tradition? I don't know.

Even since high school my birthday had always been so dull (stay indoor and pretty much treat it like any other days) so I have no expectation toward it at all... (Before you ask I would like to go out and about but I live in the middle of no where.)

I hear you on that, in elementary school I had a bunch of friends over and had a party. Afterwards though I just stopped caring.

Nowadays I just try to do things I enjoy. This year I went rock climbing with my girlfriend.

I was alone on my birthday as my friends had exams on that day (I had mine the day before). It sucks to have your birthday in January sometimes :(

So is mine! :D

My birthday isn't really a big deal anymore. I'm 22 and I haven't really done anything special except get a cake. Besides getting cake, it's been a pretty normal day for me.

The tradition in my family is that on the birthday's of persons over 18, a few close family members have a shot of Patron (annoyingly hard to get in Australia). It's a recent tradition, only two years old, but an important one.

Happy birthday :]

Mine is on Sunday. Going back to my home town to see my family. Haven't seen them since Christmas so should be fun. I think we're having some buffet, then going out for drinks because my sisters being going on about taking me out for ages, although she's pregnant so she won't be drinking...
Last year I went to some gaming workshop, went to cinema and then went for drinks.

Eh, my birthday isn't normally much of a deal for me. Just another day as far as I care, but I like to give my closest friends a birtday gift on their birthday.

Also, I'm gonna try something new this year, I've removed my birthday date from Facebook (no one except me could see it even if it was there because of the "privacy" settings and whatnot), so I'm going to see how many of my friends actually care enough to remember my birthday. I'm also contemplating if I should deactivate my account a month or so ahead as well, since when the first "Congrats on your birthday" message pops up on my wall I guess some of my friends who'd forgotten will jump on that bandwagon... Either that, or I can make a "fake" birthday (with or without help from my dad and sister) and see how many I can lure into a trap...

Yes, I'm a very wierd person.
