Its like trying to fit your golf clubs in a mini
Golf? Golf is a game for the middle classes to put on airs and pretend to be people of good breeding. They may as well tape the help's tupperware on themselves and play rugby in the American style for all it's fooling anyone.
Haha! Hey, at least we know the difference between Rugby, and Football, (the British one, of course) and don't resort to combining them into some weird hybrid! I mean really, Aussie Rules?? Rugby Posts with nets... And a Cricket pitch!?
Rugby posts with nets? That's Gaelic football or the very rarely played International Rules Football that's a hybrid of Gaelic and Australian Rules invented so the best AFL and GAA players (plus officials) can go to another country and get pissed for a few weeks every few years.

Besides, we also play Rugby, Rugby League and real Football (admittedly we're decidedly mediocre at real football).

I remember an English comedian doing a routine here about how Aussie Rules was just Australia cheating so they could be the World Champions at something... We made him feel like a right dickhead when we told him that even though the AFL hosts an Aussie Rules World Cup, Australia doesn't compete in it. (for those interested current Aussie Rules World Champions are New Zealand... so they'll probably start saying they invented that, too).

And then we had the most British sex ever.
Well, I hope for all involved that was better than it sounds.
Anyone who has ever seen a few british comedies will know the Brits are a race of eccentric sexual deviants and not all buttoned up and prudish as people seem to think. We are just tasteful with it tis all. Well usually...
That's the problem... it sounds as if you were buggering each other with umbrellas whilst refering to it as "Coaxing the Teapot" in Public School accents.

I ran out of tea today, and here you are posting all this biscuit porn. I hate you.
Exactly that, except I prefer biscuits with coffee. Damn all of those are great DAAAMMMN I could eat all of them now! OMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM - minus the digestive and the custard cream because they're the best, but the others are just god-like.

Good read, even though it brings up nothing new to me.

See a thread titled after a food loved in Britain! Get worried that Daystar might not be making it! Seriously your threads are awesome! My only gripe with them is that I think they should be in the User Reviews section, since you are basically reviewing biscuits.

As for my tastes in biscuits. I always love a good Jammy Dodger, Rich Tea or Chocolate Digestive. There so nice!

Putting it in the User Review section would imply that this is subjective.

These are factual facts!

Good point. Now that I think about it these threads are more of a factfile than a review.

I'm going to have to make some cookies after reading this to remind me of the fact that I'm American; I can't handle this much Britishness

You could call it "Jolly good food time: A complete guide to the best food Britain has ever produced". It would have to include a bloody lot of swear words, but don't go using swear words such as shit and crap. Those be american swears! Can't stand for those!

I saw a thread called "biscuits" and then looked down and saw your name. I shouted "YES, IT'S HIM!". This thread did not disappoint.

McVities Wheatmeal... Yep, that sounds British alright.

But I'll stick with cookies, and other foods with names that aren't preposterous. Okay, so that's not actually the reason I prefer cookies over whatever "Wheatmeal" is. The reason I choose cookies is because I've been given the choice of "Wheatmeal" or cookies.

Pfft, at least with wheatmeal you know what you're getting.

Cookies aren't even cooked, the product lies to you from the get go.

They should be called bakees.

Well I've done fish & chips and the English breakfast.

I suppose I could make a thread about pies.

Proper pies, with meat and gravy. Not those sweet American monstrosities.

That's the way to do it! Proper Beef and Gravy pie! Or even do a shepperds pie, those may not be true pies but they are still bloody lovely.

Also when did you do one on fish and chips and the full english? Link pwease.

This thread makes me proud to be British!

Also, I don't think you can beat a good Rich Tea biscuit or, if you're feeling particularly frisky, a Rich Tea finger....
