Not really. They're in it for the money. At some point the extra costs of development will be greater than the loss of profit from the few people left on the old system.

Who ever said anything about guilt? You can use whatever OS you like without any pangs of conscience at all. You just can't expect software developers to care.

I don't really think paying £60 for the latest Return of Call of Battlefield's Bride's Son 32: Electric Boogaloo can be called "perfectly logical" regardless of what system you play it on.
