What a surprise that the gun with the most kills is the FAMAS, with the second being the AK-47u, and the 3rd being the Galil. I would say they were definitely the most overpowered guns in the game.
On a side note.
JESUS CHRIST those are some BIG, HUGEO numbers...

that little RC car is a pain if you're not careful.
I knew Famas and Ak-74u were popular but i didn't know the Galil was that popular.
I use the Galil a bit on the ps3 version, only see a couple othr using it. I assumed the commando would be third.
I think nationalism plays a role in it. I'm guessing these stats were compiled internationally, and I vaguely remember hearing that the game was really big in Isreal. The Galil series of arms being theirs.

This could be a big part of it, impossible to tell. I don't know how much of the player base is where, especially including pirated copies. It would be interesting to see a breakdown based on where people are playing from if that's at all possible.
Honestly the US tends to be the least nationalistic of nations when you get down to it. The assault rifle we used the M-16 gets a bad rap among our own people as well because of a very brief period where the rifle which was originally developed as a "next generation, self-cleaning rifle" was put into service without any kind of maitnence equipment as it was believed it didn't need it, this lead to a lot of weapons jamming up in Veitnam leading to the soldiers carrying them getting killed, and with no way to clean them, a lot of them becoming so much junk. This lead to a lot of our troops using seized enemy weapons and the like. This flaw with the M-16 was later corrected however, and to be honest I think it was probably the best Assault Rifle in the world for a long time. It was however hard to manufacture which is why it was never distributed as much as the AK-47 which pretty much any nation with metal and wood can knock off. Of course a lot of the advantages of the M-16 don't come into play in FPS games all that much, such as it having a pretty subtantial range, and most importantly being ridiculously light meaning you can transport a lot more of them on planes and boats, and of course when dealing with long range hiking and deployment in full gear the differance between an AK series rifle, and an M-16 which is only like half or one third of the weight is a big deal.
I don't play Black Ops, but I'd imagine the AK is so popular because so many countries use that or some variation of it, as well as players in the US thinking that this was the gun that replaced the M-16 around this time period, which isn't exactly true, though there is a grain of truth to it being scavenged for a while until the M-16 problem was dealt with.
