Ok, so I was just playing a game of Ground War TDM, and I get a Care Package. Cool, let's see what I get.
Just as it lands, I get killed as I run towards it. Fair play, if he steals it, that's my fault for getting mr arse kicked.
But no, rushing in, my teammates grab a foothold as I respawn and sprint to my prize.
It dissappears.
"A teammate has saved your care package!"
What? Fuck off they have. He's just taken a Strategic Bomber for his own use, the theiving bastard.
So here's my suggestion.
I think it's fine for the enemy team to steal your package. That's fine, you shouldn't have let it get into their hands.
But a teammate? Shit no.
Only you or the opposing team should be able to grab your package (That's what she said).
In the last game I even defended another teammate's Care Package for him while he respawned.
Anyway, another suggestion inspired by what happened next. We won quickly, myself at the top of the team leaderboard having pulled in a five-streak in the last 30 seconds, earning me a Spy Plane and Care Package.
However, I had no time to use them.
This is where my second idea comes in, that if you have killstreak rewards stored up as the game finishes, they should be transferred into points corresponding with how hard you worked to get them.
Spy Plane? 300 points. Attack Dogs? A tasty 1100.
Hardline naturally should decrease the amount correspondingly.
Hardline'd Spy Plane? 200 is yours.
As some discussion value:
What's the most powerful Care Package you've lost, and how did you lose it? As a game ended once, my Package dropped a fucking Gunship RIGHT in front of my face.
What's, in your opinion, the most underrated gun in Black Ops? FAL for me. No one uses it, and it totally rapes.
