The AI is just about every FPS I've ever played. Got a silenced weapon? Killin' a guy? Well, the entire camp knows JUST where you are! And they've got better accuracy than you do!

Ever played Borderlands? The second you fire your first shot every enemy near you instantly turns, aims and fires directly at you. Though they really need to work on their accuracy.

Also playing Pokemon Black and battling against Elesa (electric gym leader) she managed to score 8 critical hits IN A ROW on my Pokemon!! Though that could also be called bad luck but still ... cheating...

Pokemon Black/White is made up of nothing but cheaters. Every single counter move that can be avoided is avoided. If they have 3 attack moves and 1 non-attack move, you will almost never get off a Bide, Assurance, etc. Just about the only way to get those moves to work is with Torment.

My cousin and I built a team of us and bots that were the same skill as we were (Hard sims i think). And the DarkSim beat us. We stopped playing for a while after that

But yeah, sounds about right, HardSims was what I used normally too.

AI on some of the hardst settings of combat training in Black Ops cheats too much. You think the aim assist in MW2 is bad? Well you have to contend with almost instant snaps and people who aim at you before you come into view.

Oblivion's guards definitely win the award for cheap AI.
They're psychic. No joke.
Kill a guard with no one around, and everyone other guard across the universe is instantly out to get you.

It's because you interrupted the Hive Mind. The guards are all telepathically linked to each other through the Emperor.

Every game with AI has cheating AI, though it's most noticeable in RTS games.

Empire Total War, the AI gets extra cash and faster army recruitment.
Company of Heroes, the AI gets a huge resource boost, and fields armies faster. They also get a small increase to accuracy and a decrease to received damage.

Pretty much any racing game ever. Damn AI gets teleported up to you no matter how far in front you SHOULD BE, just to make it more challenging.

I don't know what you're complaining about, if Roadrunner cartoons have taught me anything, it's that this is entirely realistic.

EA's Fifa football series.

Every loose ball falls to the computer's feet. Every cross they put in is perfect, their players are all much faster and stronger than they should be, I swear there's no difference between the top two difficultly levels except that the top one cheats.

Really don't see it with FIFA. The original Sensible World of Soccer on the other hand, that was a bunch of toss. Regardless of what the teams were, the opposition goalkeeper would always be incredible whilst your keeper would fumble the most basic of daisy cutters. Also, the opposition strikers would sometime do this wiggle that would cause the screen to shake about and it was impossible to tackle (or even foul) them before they scored. I remember in the old Amiga magazines when floods of people wrote in to say how bad it was, the makers put up a rebuttal akin to "lalala, I am not listening".

I was a big fan of VengeSims, especially when its basically a free-for-all and you've killed like 4 in a row. That's crazy. KazeSims were also a favorite, I especially liked how they weren't afraid to use a rocket launcher from 2 feet away from me.

In Age of Empires 3, on the hardest difficulty setting, the AI gets resources twice as fast as it normally would. That always pissed me off.

I knew that this was the answer before I clicked the thread. They probably just spawn with more resources to be frank. They start on the deathmatch settings with the extra resources and units from the go.

Valkyria Chronicles. Enemy lancers have magical rockets that can hit your tank's radiator from across the map.

EDIT: It didn't make me prefer to play against humans instead, though. I can't even remember if that game had multiplayer.

Flamers in Gears of War 2's horde mode seem to spawn right behind me. There's no way you got round me you cheating bastard!

Mario Kart Wii... on any mode... it's ridiculous. Also, a lot of fighting games have AI that predict your moves and know exactly when to counter-attack or block. I noticed this on MvC3 during training mode. As an experiment, play through Arcade mode on Very Hard. You'll probably be able to beat it easily. Now go play Training mode and set the CPU to Normal. You are going to eat teeth.
Also, a LOT of the enemies and bosses in Atlus' JRPG games like to cheat. Although that's what makes the games so entertaining and challenging, it's a little irritating when they know exactly what you're weak against, somehow, and always aim for getting 'One More' or decimating your party leader.

Civilization, as Two face mentioned, I always hated how ai's would get two free soldiers to gaurd their cities and then mock my military. Sorry we don't all pull units from hammerspace. Not aht it ever did them much goo din the end.

In Age of Empires 3, on the hardest difficulty setting, the AI gets resources twice as fast as it normally would. That always pissed me off.

I remember playing the incredibly similar Empire Earth. In a game that had gone on for hours without a clear winner (from stone age to distant future) I had thought I was doing well. I had slowly wrestled control over significant portions of the map from the AI and I had roving kill teams murdering his workers. The post game graphs showed his income had dropped to very nearly nothing. Deciding I finally had the firepower to breach his defenses and overcome his seemingly inexhaustible army, I set out. Somehow, In spite of the fact that I had an army at the very limit of the unit cap, the AI kept throwing similar sized armies at me (in that they were comparable in size to mine) which, even though they were poorly played, took their toll on my forces. Strangely, they seemed to do little more than target my numerous anti-aircraft units. After slaughtering three assaults roughly the same size as my own army (that had taken every resource of the last 30 minutes to build in the first place) the computer sent an enormous flight of Bombers that easily cost more of a particular resource than existed on his side of the map. Sadly, my somewhat attrited ADA force was not quite enough to stop the bomber wave and a nuke was dropped right in the middle of my forces. Then they were assaulted again by ground forces.

The game was not only cheating, it didn't even hide the fact that it was cheating. When examining the various graphs at the end of the game I found that the CPU simply spawned resources whenever it felt the need (meaning that, by slaughtering his workers I had accomplished little more than allowing for a larger army later) and also had a dramatically reduced construction time (I had more unit buildings than he did by a fair margin working overtime to produce replacements and I was being outpaced on production by an order of magnitude).

Reborn in Jedi Outcast/Academy. Ever tried killing one with a rocket launcher? They always push the rocket back at you with perfect timing. They have infinite Force energy as well, so attempting to engage in "rocket tennis" with them is futile. There's also the damn aimbot snipers in Nar Shaddaa.

On a related note, anyone who's tried Legendary difficulty on Halo 2 has no doubt developed a pathological hatred for Jackal snipers. Co-op doesn't make things any easier, as the death of just one person results in reloading to the last checkpoint.
