So what you're saying is that every possible scenario is inevitable? And by that logic we should all accept our fate? I call that bullshit.Mick Golden Blood said:Well aside from your usual errors and bs not caused by the connection itself, online only would be fine.CardinalPiggles said:If it helps prevent cheating, and doesn't effect me too much, I'm all for it being online only.Li Mu said:Oh Blizz. I do love you, but seriously, just let it be offline. Stop being idiots.
I've had 2 instances of not being able to play when I wanted to, and that was launch week!
If everyone had that super awesome uber fucking terabyte per second internet speed.
But hey, not everyone has enough money to invest in the best internet connections and cables and shit, but as long as I do I think it's a great idea! And not all servers are located right next to them resulting in pretty much 1-5 ping. Who cares if it seriously negatively affects others!
History has proven such logic is seriously shitty.First they came for the whiners,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a whiner.
Then they came for the cheaters,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a cheaters.
Then they came for the poor,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't poor.
Then they came for me
And there was no one left to speak up for me.
Oh and my internet isn't great, it's only (supposedly) 10mb/s download speed, and I don't think I live all that close to any servers. Even if I did, I played on the American server during launch week and even though I live in Europe, that worked perfectly fine.
The reason I'm telling my situation here is because it seems like the general consensus I'm hearing on the internet is that the game is a totally broken piece of shit, but I think most people complaining are blowing it's flaws way out of proportion.
Obviously there will be people with major issues for Diablo 3, but it doesn't take a genius to work out whether or not your connection will be able to handle it, and therefore it should be an easy decision, to buy, or not to buy?
