Blizzard fail to see the fact that people subscribe to get CONTENT FOR 'FREE', NOT TO PAY FOR MORE GOD DAMN EXPANSION PACKS.
Why do we even subscribe now blizzard? (I stopped 2 years ago actually due to crap like this) You want to release more expansions because people clear content so quickly... and now you're just a joke.
My SC2 updates without requiring any further fee. Then again, you may be referring to the seperate campaign thing. While I can understand the change from the old formula upsetting some people the game is as long as a good RTS should be. Trilogy =/= Money grab. To me, the trilogy concept suggests their desire to improve the other episodes instead of releasing a behemoth with a rushed storyline and lackluster missions.
As does WoW, so long as I keep up the subscription. In fact, they're going to be releasing a new wave of heroic dungeons(We're due for 'em, Zandalari heroics have gotten a tad dry), another raid and Transmogrification, which will allow RPers like myself to lend the appearance of other items to my legitimate PvE gear(Well, so long as it's within the restrictions. Of course, seeing as my RP gear is the Tirisfal Regalia, I don't see why it wouldn't be). I keep my subscription up and running because WoW continues to provide me with a fun environment to whop around in and the Game Masters have always been really amusing folk, where personal interaction was concerned.
Aside from that, yes, we do have to purchase the new expansions, but, that's run of the mill for any MMORPG. I don't believe we'll be seeing another expansion any time soon. Deathwing is probably not going to be the final encounter, considering all of his jabbering concerning his 'masters' and the reveal on a new Old God, N'Zoth.
I'm rather surprised that Activision is making an attempt to speak for Blizzard. Activision knows exactly how to make money from their audience and, no doubt, respects that quality in others. Blizzard is not something any wise businessman would want to touch.
Call mister Kotick what you will(He's in dire need of a PR) man, but a fool, he is not.
