Blizzard Releasing Six Titles Before 2014

With the Exception of the SCII titles I have no interest in anything other than Diablo III. And ever since they stated that even the single player for that would be online only I have firmly planted myself on the "No sale" list. I have no intention of picking it up until I can play it offline.

I never got into WoW, partly because I don't have the time for it, so expansions for it or a new MMO do not interest me.

This is pretty much expected

2010 Star2 and Wow:Cataclysm
2011 D3
2012 Heart of the Swarm, and the next WoW expansion (2 year gap is the norm)
2013 D3 Expansion
2014 Protoss Campaign and more then likely a WoW expansion (maintaining the 2 year cycle).

That's 6 without even releasing the new MMO. And no new titles. And maintaining Blizzards usual release cycle.

You will never see WarCraft 4 or StarCraft Ghost. Any more so than you'll see WarCraft Adventures: Lord of the Clans.

Blizzard fail to see the fact that people subscribe to get CONTENT FOR 'FREE', NOT TO PAY FOR MORE GOD DAMN EXPANSION PACKS.

Why do we even subscribe now blizzard? (I stopped 2 years ago actually due to crap like this) You want to release more expansions because people clear content so quickly... and now you're just a joke.

My SC2 updates without requiring any further fee. Then again, you may be referring to the seperate campaign thing. While I can understand the change from the old formula upsetting some people the game is as long as a good RTS should be. Trilogy =/= Money grab. To me, the trilogy concept suggests their desire to improve the other episodes instead of releasing a behemoth with a rushed storyline and lackluster missions.

As does WoW, so long as I keep up the subscription. In fact, they're going to be releasing a new wave of heroic dungeons(We're due for 'em, Zandalari heroics have gotten a tad dry), another raid and Transmogrification, which will allow RPers like myself to lend the appearance of other items to my legitimate PvE gear(Well, so long as it's within the restrictions. Of course, seeing as my RP gear is the Tirisfal Regalia, I don't see why it wouldn't be). I keep my subscription up and running because WoW continues to provide me with a fun environment to whop around in and the Game Masters have always been really amusing folk, where personal interaction was concerned.

Aside from that, yes, we do have to purchase the new expansions, but, that's run of the mill for any MMORPG. I don't believe we'll be seeing another expansion any time soon. Deathwing is probably not going to be the final encounter, considering all of his jabbering concerning his 'masters' and the reveal on a new Old God, N'Zoth.

I'm rather surprised that Activision is making an attempt to speak for Blizzard. Activision knows exactly how to make money from their audience and, no doubt, respects that quality in others. Blizzard is not something any wise businessman would want to touch.

Call mister Kotick what you will(He's in dire need of a PR) man, but a fool, he is not.

They want to release titles more frequently, like Valve wanted to release the hl games more frequently with the episodic approach? I don't think that's going to work and honestly, I don't want it to work because the quality might suffer but if they manage to keep the same quality and release the games faster then I'm fine with it.

A true sequel to WoW would be considered proven. Just a thought. :) They desperately need to update that dinosaur.

Is it just me or does anyone else think that this is just Actishit planning on releasing shit quality games to make more money*? Honestly, Blizzard's games are so anticipated and done so well because of the time they spend working on their games.

*Money Actishit doesn't deserve

Blizzard about a year ago:

"The merger hasn't changed ANYTHING! WE PROMISE"

Activision today speaking on behalf of Blizzard:

"BLIZZARD WILL BE RELEASING 6 GAMES IN 2 1/2 YEARS, OR ELSE!!!"

(thanks Scrumpmonkey for pic)

But seriously, WHO DIDN'T SEE THIS COMING A MILE AWAY?

Predictions: Diablo 3, Heart of the swarm, WoW expansion, D3 expansion, Titan, SC2 expansion.

In that order.

Actually, if you look at it as 2 WoW expansions, 2 SC2 expansions, and Diablo 3 and one expansion, its really not all that impressive.

Just because a "leaked" schedule included the mystery "Titan" does not mean it is either real or on schedule. I'm going with the many expansions and the already known D3. Not exactly that exciting when you look at it that way.

This is exactly why I hate Actvision. Quantity over quality. Well, goodbye 'good' blizzard, at least we still have the memories.

Considering the time it took to make SC2, which in my opinion was more of an "ok" title than a real blast like SC, I can't help it but worry about the quality that will come out of such a "short" developpement period. I'll probably buy the others SC2, at least for the story, while praying it isn't another "space white cow-boy saves his girlfriend".
Seriously, anyone remembers the time when Raynor was just "a nice guy trying to do good", and when the player was actually spoken to by the characters, which felt WAY more immersive than having to play whoever the game wants you to.

Also, I think our only hope of ever seeing a Warcraft 4 would be for Blizz to declare the whole WoW continuity non-canon, which I think would be HILARIOUS.

Diablo 3, well, to put it properly, I played D2 : LoD, I liked it, but wasn't a huge fan (more of a casual player). So, to put it in a nutshell, I'm not going to get an always-online game if there is an equal alternative which I find more intriguing (because yeah, I'm more curious about the world of Torchlight, of which I know almost nothing, than about a world in wich you must kill Satan for the third time).

ARGH!!! WHERE'S WARCRAFT 4?!!

Ok, calm. Seriously, I really want my Warcraft 4. I don't like online games, save a small few, so please, give me a new Warcraft game.
I am actually on board with you on that one. I think they should stop with WoW for a bit and make another warcraft 4 and make some more story elements/places and add on expansion on that as well so wow could get more content. It might actually work.

My prdictions are: Heart of the Swarm, Diablo 3, Legacy of the Void, WoW expansion, titan, WoW expansion(Or maybe a Diablo 3 expansion, I'm a bit uncertain on this one).

I'm about 80% certain that this is correct.

Blizzard has explicitly stated that titan is a new IP and not related to either the Warcraft or Starcraft Universes.

Also with blizzards track record i would be highly skeptical of their ability to crank out 2 wow expansions by 2014. At this point they won't be shipping X4 till at least q3 next year. If they do manage a second in that window its going to be on the very very tail end.

Not really sure whether to think blizzard will be more effective at developing their games, or whether the quality will decrease due to kottick breathing them down the neck...
