Bloodborne is out next week, and I want to get some hype going because I'm super excited for the game (I plan on buying a PS4 to play it once its out). So, post your Bloodborne hype. What are you excited for in the new game, what do you think looks cool, what class are you going to play, etc.?
Things I'm excited about:
New death mechanic. When you die instead of just leaving your souls (or whatever) on the ground to pick up on your next life instead the souls (or whatever) are absorbed by the enemy that killed you, so if you want to get your shit back you have to do better than you did previously and kill the thing that took you down. I really like that idea because it seems like it'll make getting your exp back that much harder since you can't just sprint over to your bloodstain anymore. Curious as to how this mechanic will work with bosses.
New character creation features. You can put glasses and sunglasses on your character. YEAH!
New dodge mechanics. I like that we're getting dashes in this game. Rolls never really made sense to me as a dodge mechanic because it's just incredibly unrealistic to roll away from an enemy attack during a fight. Dashes are awesome, dashes are the way to go, I'm super into that.
Chalice Dungeon. Bloodborne is going to have a huge procedurally generated dungeon that changes every time you enter it. It seems like it's going to add a ton of replayability, and you'll always get that feeling of unknowable dread because unlike the rest of the game you can't just memorize where everything spawns.
Atmosphere. I'm really digging the Victorian setting, it's just oozing with atmosphere. I can't wait to run through those cobbled streets fighting for my life against the mutated citizens. GET HYPE.
