....So, can we become Werewolves too? I hope so, cause Werewolves seem to have more advantages.

Besides, Vampires, suck
That was just too obvious.

OT: Yeah... I really hated being a vampire in Oblivion. So much that I started an entire dungeon again when I got the disease from a fight. Then the second time I went through it I saved after every fight to make sure I could just hop back to that bit.

It was just annoying, really.
I think it took at least 24 or more hours to get it.. and even then you can cure it easily, and use Cure potion before you get Advanced stage of disease.

Though I hardly found the use in being a Vampire, even if with mods enhancing it... can't do half the quests that are done in daylight, go to shops (THE SUN IT BURRNSS) or do Arena without constantly eating up. And even that is dumb and boring - go to waterworks at night, drink some homeless guy, profit..
You know, i'm pretty sure if you drank blood you could go out in the daylight, so it wouldn't really matter all that much.

If you ask me being a vampire didn't hurt you enough. The benefits definitely surpassed the downsides. What, i have to wait till sundown to leave this dungeon? Fair enough *use's wait function*
Add the universal hatred and Charm being a useless ability due to the fact that you can get Charm 75 for 1 second and it lasts just long enough for a convo. And I did say "do Arena WITHOUT CONSTANTLY EATING UP". Vampirism didn't have disadvantages, it had chores...

Silver didn't damage you, no vampire hunters, no werewolves to fight you either.... boring.

Bring it on, glitterboy!

I'd suggest pistols at dawn, but you'll be a weak human again by then. I'm groovy as long as I stick in the shade.

Also, I tend to be more Masquerade: Bloodlines than Twilight, since they are actually vampires.

I saw "Bloodsuckers return" and my first though was "Stalker 2?" and then I saw "in Skyrim" and I was like "damn." And then I stopped caring.

So it's not one of these guys. At least I won't have to listen to that horrifying, distorted panting when they chase you.
Please, never mention *shiver* THOSE again. After they made them invincible when invisible in Call of Prypiat I still have nightmares about those bastards.

I think everyone saw this coming, vampires have been a staple of the series. But come on, bring us back those werewolves. That was literally the only reason I bought the Bloodmoon expansion.

-Etc-
Not invinicible. Not in CoP at least, I've shotgun'd plenty of them while they were slurching about.

Weird, what difficulty were you on? Could just be in the higher difficulties they have an insane amount of health.

Highest. I think it's called "Master". They do have ridiculous amounts of health, but the right equipment makes mincemeat of everything. I used to go hunting for chimeras in the night.

...ahhh, I've got all nostalgic now :)

*Has Vietnam-esque flashback of attempting to go ANYWHERE at night in Call of Prypiat*

After this sentence I've come to the conclusion that you're either suicidal or mentally ill. Please seek help.

'The Volkihar vampires of eastern Skyrim live under haunted, frozen lakes and only leave their dens to feed. They have the power to freeze their victims with icy breath, and can reach through the ice of their frozen lake dens without breaking the ice'
All of my NOPE.

Well this isn't big news, what would be news is werewolves, because those were badass in Morrowind
Ring of Hircine please.
Seconded. I don't see the point of being a werewolf when you could just use the ring as you please. That said; you didn't get the werewolf missions without being one. ¬_¬

Holy necromancy, Batman!

And daw. When I saw the title, I thought these had randomly made a cameo.

I'd be more surprised if they suddenly weren't included in Skyrim. But like everyone else (close enough!), I want to see some were-creatures at least!

I really hope that they made vampirism more bearable this time around. Oblivion was boring as hell when it was mostly night, and the nighteye power sucked miserably (no pun intended) because it turned the game into Call of Medieval Duty. Please tell me they learned and made nighteye like Morrowind again so it wouldn't ruin immersion while also being extremely helpful.

Well I hope Vampires are a bit more relevant to the game this time. In Oblivion, with the exception of a few short side-quests, they were just kind of "there", not really doing anything. Vamps should be doing stuff, you know?
Something that separates them from all the random bandits you kill. Have em sneak into towns to feed. Occasionally you'd find some NPCs had "disappeared", only to reappear turned as vampires. Maybe even have one particularly ambitious vampire do something apocalyptic. Just don't make them "random enemy type #42".
That would be a great change of pace. I hope they also have some sort of guild or vampire specific missions that aren't just trying to cure the disease or something underwhelming. Vampirism should offer an entire new underworld (Underworld!) that interacts with the everyday.

In Morrowind they were typically more formidable than the average bandit and were a damn good incentive to always carry an enchanted weapon or silver. Maybe silver won't be such a joke with Skyrim (haven't played it yet, if it hasn't been clear) because Oblivion treated it as a minor inconveniencing step to achieve a better grade of weapon instead of an anti-undead necessity and relative powerhouse. Get to high levels and smack an Oblivion wraith with a silver sword to get the drift.
