Question, how in the FLYING FUCK is this guy not in jail, in this day and age he must have used some sort of voodoo magic to escape the gloved finger of the FBI agents after a bomb threat like that

That's pretty much my question as well. Usally I roll my eye's about this kind of thing but honestly, how is he not in a heap of trouble after making "jokes" like that while in Best Buy? If he ranted at home and a friend posted said rant online I might be more forgiving but this is just stupid. I have a feeling that this is going to haunt this guy either for a long time or the rest of his life, good luck getting on a flight now dude....

I'm not backing this guy at all but I really don't like how there's more and more laws now governing what you can and can't say.

Personal freedoms only extend to where you don't infringe on other people's freedoms.
Freedom of speech will not cover threats as that infringes on the freedom of security and peace of mind.

Well, direct and obvious threats made in person, yeah.

If he was to imply things, but not outright state them, or did it over the net, he'd likely get away with it, that sorta thing happens all the time.

It didn't mention it but odds are he went to the wrong best buy too. A lot of times people will preorder from a store and go to the one they didn't call.

"What do you mean you don't have my pre-order? I just called it in yesterday!"

It's easy to overlook and an easy mistake to make, especially with big box stores and huge chains like Best Buy. Still though, what an asshole.

NO, that is not how it works at all. The most intertwined you can find any retailer is that they will be able to check if another store has an item in stock, and that is only because you can find that out online. Each store is in charge of tracking its own transactions. If you order something at store A you cannot pick it up at store B because as far as store B is concerned, you did not make the purchase from their inventory; you bought it from store A's inventory. The only way you could pick it up at the wrong store is if store A were to send someone over to store B with the item that day. Otherwise you would have to go to Store A.

People do the same thing to Gamestop thinking that all the systems are interconnected. The best one I heard was a customer wanted to pick up a game he had preordered. He said he preordered the game the day it was announced or something like that but the people at the store couldn't find his name in the system. They asked him if he had preordered the game at their store and he told them he was in another state when he found out. This guy preordered the game (paying the full price) in the wrong state thinking all of the systems were connected. They told him the same thing they tell everyone else who preorders at the wrong store, you're going to have to go to the store you preordered the game from otherwise you can buy another copy here if you don't know where you preordered.

Some store will accept returns from other branches since the item/transaction ratio remains the same.

Don't stores have like a policy regarding pre-orders that you have to put it in a week before the game comes out? You know, to help prevent this kind of crap from happening.

Moving on, What kind of moron places a pre-order ON THE DAY and expects to get it in front of others who waited say, 2 months ahead, then abuses staff, threatens to blow up a place (bad choice of words) AND demands an apology? And at 31? That's fucking pathetic and a damn disgrace to adult gamers. :|
