There is no real benefit besides Callahan's magnum a goodie bag of assorted weapons and ammo and having another group of npcs to hunt for sport and to harvest power armor.

Why would you want to? I'm pretty sure you can just pick the lock to the armory, then use the carry-steal glitch to get the weapons. Or a Stealth Boy/high sneak skill. The BoS are the only faction that doesn't:

a) try and kill you on sight

b) treat you like a dick.

Once I nuked Megaton and felt so bad when I saw the ruins that I reverted to a previous save. Yes, I'm a bit of a virtual wimp :p

I Personally Believe The BOS Own, I Like Em' Sure they may be assholes sometimes, But there cool.
I didn't destroy it, i saved before i blew up the land rover, but well, i went back blew it up and couldn't find the frigin gun, Meh. Not like its a big loss, have 100 in every weapon skill helps when people say "But its the best gun in the game with that skill." I mean its not like you just have to use one skill to fight people, personally i just think its a really stupid move, if you blow up the citadel you dont have any friends, personally just blow up Megaton, or just raid Rivet City, More fun to do it yourself then have a frigin bomb or something do it.

I highly doubt there is a SECOND armory. I'm 100% certain that there is an armory you can access normally. It even has a vendor who'll sell you guns.

There is, but you can only access it if you blow up the citadel, its like way down, nowhere near the first armory.

whoops, my bad Fallout 3
Well then all I can say IS HAVE YOU NOT HEARD OF SPOILER TAGS!?!??

Or even more tactful title maybe? How about "Fallout 3, what did you do with The Citadel?"

There are two armories, as it turns out.

Ahem:
If you chose to take the option of destroying the Citadel in Broken Steel, you will find a door leading to the armory within the crater, and one on the far side of the circular path around the crater. This section is not to be confused with the regular Armory located in the Laboratory.

Within the armory, there are 4 First Aid Boxes and plentiful supplies of various ammos and weapons. In the offices beside the armory, there is a terminal describing several "incident reports" and a wall-safe (unlockable through the terminal) containing Callahan's Magnum and magnum rounds.

The only benefits are the Callahan Magnum (the best 44 in the game) and (if you have the Perk that gets you Ears (the name of which I forgot)) The Brotherhood becomes hostile, and all of them drop ears.
Is that the bad one? Isn't lawbringer the one that gives you fingers?

Blowing up the Citadel didn't make much sence to me. I mean switching to Enclave side by that point of the game would be pretty dumb, since Enclave is all but destroyed. I suppose if you enjoy carnage in general you might do it...
