It'll be interesting to see what blu-ray is capable of down the line. With multiple layers, it would be easy for the TV and movie industries to push box sets of shows or movies all on one disc. The video game industry would have a hard time utilizing all that space without tons of filler until the graphic models catch up.

Yay, now there's even less excuse for not making content-heavy high-graphics games! Except for, you know, "because we couldn't really be stuffed", which isn't really any excuse at all. Seriously, that's nearly as big as my actual PS3 hard drive.
Also, behind closed doors at CES 2007, Ritek revealed that they had successfully developed a High Definition optical disc process that extends the disc capacity to ten layers, which increases the capacity of the discs to 250 GB. So dual-layered blu ray discs can hold 66.8gb now? Is there a game out there that can actually fill that? Metal Gear Solid 4: Movie of the Patriots barely got close.
