To be fair, the Schaefer thing makes some sense.
I don't think he's quite as bad as he's made out to be, but he is a bit of a dick.

The Infinity Ward guys violated their contract by seeking out a deal with EA. That's the definition of wrong.Jack and Calumon said:Kotick, this is a stain that will not come out no matter how much you try and wash it, And rubbing it with other foods doesn't help. I see your point but I see nothing that the Infinity Ward guys did wrong. Tim Schaefer, he made a... all right game. Could have been better, but it probably would have been better if you didn't drop him out of development.
Calumon: Jack, if he keeps saying bad things, you aren't going to go Super Saiyan, are you?
What gives Schafer the right to rag on Kotick?squidbuddy99 said:What gives this douchebag the right to diss Tim Schafer? The guy has made some of the best adventure games known to gaming. He has Grim Fandango and Psychonauts under his belt. Even if Brutal Legend wasn't the masterpiece hoped for (I also doubt the game's poor reviews are because of one guy), I'm pretty sure Activition doesn't have a perfect track record, either.

Thank you. the ten hours I spent with Eddie riggs and the Druid Plow were some of my favorite moments in gaming.Delusibeta said:Exhibit A [http://www.metacritic.com/game/xbox-360/brutal-legend] and Exhibit B [http://www.metacritic.com/game/xbox-360/guitar-hero-warriors-of-rock]. That still doesn't explain why they sued the hell out of Double Fine and EA when the game switched publishers. He acts like it just was just a bad investment that they let go; to the public, it turned out more like a drawn out attempt to screw over the competition on zero basis.JEBWrench said:This is a dark day. Cry now, everyone. Cry now.
Umm, sorry Kotick, but Brutal Legend kicked MW2's ass.vansau said:"And do you know what? That seemed like a sensible thing to do. And it turns out, he was late, he missed every milestone, the game was not a particularly good game..."
That made me laugh, too.vansau said:we've got ethics obligations
No kidding. The Activision PR department should wrap Kotick up with Duct Tape and toss him in a closet somewhere.Virgil said:You know who probably dislikes Kotick the most? The Activision PR department.
