I'll check them out, but I've read some of the Sword of truth books and I didn't like them (understatement).
I suggest World War Z by Max Brooks, because altough it is a book about zombies, it's fantastically well written. As opposed to just focusing on three charecters and thier adventures through a post-apocalyptic wasteland, it is a collection of interviews from survivors from all sides of the conflict.
Centurion - Simon Scarrow was a really good read.
Also the Emperor series is really good. I have got a soft spot for Roman fiction.
But for fantasy, I would go for the wold on the disk. It's an essential reed really.

The Bronze Bow was an excellent read. I loved it and am looking at buying a copy first chance I get, I'd recommend you do the same. (If in doubt go on Amazon and check out "reviews")
try the triolgy of four. you know hitchhikers guide to the galaxy ect.

Altered Carbon by Richard Morgan is a rather good sci-fi detective story. Check out his other books too, although he's yet to top altered carbon they are certainly worth reading.
also I know it's not exactly fantasy or sci-fi but find yourself copies of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's works. I'd be amazed if you don't enjoy them.

I will second anything by David Gemmell. I like all of his books that I have read. A easy and fun read. The Waylander series is the best imho.
I'll also second World War Z by Max Brooxs, thee best zombie book I have ever read, so well written. His other book "The Survival guide to the Zombie Apocalypse" is also great. The two books are written in such a way that by page 20 you will be like "does this guy know something I dont"

No. It is set 10 years after "World War Z". A zombie out break that may have started in China, and then enveloped most of the world. The writer of the book is going round interviewing people who survived the war. People from many walks of life are interviewed, from army personl to civilans. There is no story as such, but you do get the bigger picture of what was going on in the war from the interviews. Its the best zombie book I have read.ThePlasmatizer post=18.72060.746890 said:
