How many books do you own?

The reason I ask this is because I'm packing up for my move after graduation, and I've filled up about five copy paper boxes with just one bookshelf. I still have three more bookshelves to go plus the books I just have sitting around. -_-

But it made me wonder just how many books people out there might own.

Also, for the sake of difference, comics and manga do count as books for when you're counting.

WTF is a book?

OT: Many. My family has a small library in the living room and I have a personal bookshelf/library thing in my room.

Most of them are nonfiction or fantasy.

My dad is kind of a book freak, something he got from his dad. I've inherited a heck of a lot of books from them (no, my dad isn't dead yet), last time I counted I had something in the region of 720 books, but I haven't counted in a few years now. Many of those are part of collections, some very old. My oldest book is from 1847, I know my dad has one from 1709, if he has any older ones idk.

BOOKS ARE FUN!

EDIT: Btw, that old book of mine is about music. Just music =3.

well, about 80 fantasy books, more or less 40 histopry based books, several science books, a few art books (I also have like 20 ultimate edition comics, harcover, but I won't include them here), a lot of mangas.... easily over 200

wait, I missed the part where the comics also count... then in that case, I own 1200 superman comics, 400 from X-Men, and about 300 mixed, plus some special editions, ultimate editions hardcover, so, they increase the number by 1800 or more

I dunno. combined in my house I think we have like 800 books (seriously) and about 150/200 of those are mine. it's basically too many to cound, but if I were to hazard a guess it'd be around 200.

Thousands by this point I'm sure. My room in my parents house. I read books at a rate of about 2 a week and I'm a packrat. I've been reading at about that rate since I was in 2nd grade. I'm 24 now. You do the math.

Like 20 that I want, plus like 5 boxes of them. All up in our house tho, there's a bookshelf full plus a few more boxes.

I don't have that many cause, well, I don't impulse buy much (at least not anymore) and only buy the ones I really want.

Oh, I have like 50 manga as well. Maybe. Well, more like 25.

Erm...about 60 maybe? I don't know, I keep finding books I've forgotten I've bought, and that's probably without counting the reference books.

Oh, and while we are talking about books, has anyone heard of Madeline Dreams? I think thats what its called. I don't know the author, but I read it a while ago and somehow lost it, probably in between moves.

I am SO FUCKING JEALOUS of you right now. I know theres a bookstore in Katoomba (australia), they have like 2 stories of VERY old books, some for hundreds of dollars, or more.

I'm not sure how many books I've got, they're spread between my student house and my parents house. Also, my dad reads alot and gets me books. So, books I personally own, I'd guess at around a hundred, maybe two hundred.

Moving is a huge pain in the ass for me because I have to get 5 boxes to move all of my books. My bookshelf is filled with books, my nightstand is filled with books, and I have a stack of books on my desk that's 12 books tall. As for comics, I have about 12 right now, but I'm going to sign up for comic pull when I start my new job, so that's going to shoot up real quick.

About 300 I guess. 1/3 Dutch literature (the boring part), 1/3 sci-fi/fantasy (the awesome part), 1/3 miscelaneous: text books, dictionaries, encyclopediae etc (the necessary part).

Me personally, about one bookshelf. My parents however... Well they've filled at least 5 bookshelves in this house, there's books everywhere.

Hundreds, and probably over a thousand if you count all my math books and puzzle books, and disgustingly more if you count magazines and comic books.
