Unless there's some glaring flaw, my answer to character select is always 'The Token Female'. In rare cases when there's more than one... well then I get superficial.
I'll be playing as the Siren, Maya. Although I really wanted to play as the Mechromancer but she isn't being released right away D:

Axton. I played the Soldier in Borderlands 1 because it was the best suited to solo play, so I'll probably do the same with Borderlands 2.
Gunzerker because Dual wielding LMGs that why though I agree the Mechromancer class could be pretty cool.
You find it difficult to play as an asian because you aren't one, but have no trouble playing a woman, of which are not one either?llubtoille said:

Some people have no problem playing Sonic the Hedgehog, an anthropomorphic blue hedgehog but can't bring themselves to play a female. I'd imagine most humans can relate to other humans more than they can to blue hedgehog people. I played Hunter the first time I played, played Co-op with my brother. We accidently both picked Hunter, and neither one would wanna restart to
change class, so now We're both Level 69 Hunters with 100% complete. Then I played Siren with a friend a few months later, and LOVED the phasewalk. It was much more fun to just fly all around the place in another dimension that just throwing your bird around.
When the Borderlands 2 Trailer was released, we we're discusting which classes we we're gonna play, and since he wanted to continue to play the "Sniperclass", and I wanted to be able to Phasewalk a bit more like with Lilith, did we choose that he was gonna be zer0 and I be Maya.
But as more info regarding the game came, I noticed that zer0 was gonna have a bit of Phasewalk, not really, but almost. And Maya was gonna have a Phaseball-thingy, which I thought just was some upgrade :I
So now I'm stuck with Maya, Axton and Salvador. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO PICK

I became very good at sniping, having played through Borderlands 1 again over the summer.
Was going with Maya because her skill looked very fun, but Zer0 is just more up my alley.
Looking over the skill trees, even Axton looks really fun due to the shenanigans power his turret can acquire (tele-port sticking to the walls or ceiling? SOLD.)
Salvador just looks like a BAMF. So, I'm on board with that too.
Really, I like where Borderlands 2 is headed.

I'm actually surprised I'm looking forward to this game. Gearbox really stepped up after the bleh-ness of Borderlands 1. Yeah I know, probably plenty of fans here, but you can't deny that the extremely repetitive environments and enemies, extremely weak AI, horrible multiplayer support on the PC and sadly pointless loot (like 75%) of it weren't exactly fantastic bits of the game.
Borderlands 2 seems to fix a lot of it though and I find that veeeery promising.
After that comes the Mechromancer and Axton.

not getting it on release, purely because i wont have time to play, but I am planning on playing axton, me and my robot turret friend, solving all our problems together....with bullets...lots of bullets
I'm going to be Zer0. His ability looks really cool and fun to play. Though I'm almost certain that the gunzerker will be the most powerful. By looking at the Gunzerker's skill tree it looks overpowered (only on first looks).

It's a little unfair of me to make this assumption since we don't know a lot of the other character's skill trees yet, the gunzerker's skill tree looks almost complete.
