None, if I wanted to play a bland MMO with shooting mechanics I'd find one with more than 4 person multiplayer at least.
Trolololol, amirite?
I have a differing opinion than the majority I MUST be trolling.
Seriously, don't be poking the troll title at anyone who disagrees with you.
Yeah, except you game came into a thread about Borderlands 2, very well knowing it was about Borderlands 2, to tell us you don't like Borderlands 2.

Good job.

This game can be played solo, quite nicely at that as well, so ... quite frankly, you can shove that MMO argument.

As to the topic, a energy blade and sniper rifle sporting assassin that can stealth ... mh, ok, glass cannon it is then.

Probably won't get it, my friend is trying to bully me into getting it so I have lost all interest in it. Shame really, I was looking forward to it, had my class picked and everything. Sorry Axon :/

Im looking to play as Zero, especially if he does anything like he does in the trailer. That would be too awesome to pass up. Also not seeing alot of Love for Axton. I never really played the Soldier class in the first, But Id like to. And in the second, he looks even cooler. ( Though, playing splitscreen in the first, and my friend playing the Soldier, sort of broke Mordecai, seeing as I always was regenerating ammo and hp...)

I'll probably end up playing as Salvador or Zero. My two favorite gameplay styles are represented there. Run in guns ablaze, or providing support and stealthy criticals. Looking forward to this because the first game was a blast (and pretty damn funny).

Considering you called it an MMO, which it blatantly isn't...
Really?
Questing areas that are made for particular levels? NPC's who just dish out quests? XP grinding out the asshole?
These are all traits of an MMO friend.

I will be playing as Maya. :3 I absolutely fell in love with Lilith in the first game, so I hope she can deliver. ;)

Please do explain where the Massive Multiplayer comes in? I'm really curious, seeing it's only a 4 player game, which include a single player campaign as well.
Okay you need to go back to my OP, get the subtle jab at the gameplay, and come back.

You do realize I was comparing it to an MMO in its gameplay and such department right? Not literally.

I loved abusing enemies with all kinds of elemental powers in the first one using Lilith. If Maya is also the elemental specialist, I will be using her.

Hope they bring back the Hellfire SMG. Quite possible the most OP gun in the game.

Okay, so with Borderlands 2 just over the horizon, I thought I'd ask which character class you guys are liking the look of and which you'll probably play as first.

Me?

Siren all the way, baby! :D

Love her look and her skill set is looking damn sexy too.

My fiancée, who I'll be playing splitscreen coop with, loved Brick in the last game and she squealed like a little girl when she saw the Gunzerker in action, so that's sorted :D

Least interested? Axton. He just looks like another run of the mill soldier, nothing about him shouts out to me, so I'll probably leave him well alone.

So, how about yoy guys? Hyped about the game?
The first thing I think when I look at this is "can only females be sirens and only males be everything else in this setting?". I liked the original borderlands but I guess I was hoping they would overcome that or alternatively just make 8 character models. 1 male and 1 female for each. Its not like the original gave them much character anyway

Anyway, I found the siren to be my favorite class in the original so if none of the mechanics have changed Ill probably stick with it. Im not really hyped about the game. I enjoyed the original so Ill probably get this one too but I have to wonder if were doing the same dance all over again. Trying to find that same vault which turned out to be a really bad idea in the first one.

I like to express my hatred for this game.

Doesn't make me a troll, as I don't mean to egg anyone on into a fight.
Then go and create your own thread expressing your hatred, where you can promptly be ignored. Don't come into a thread to just state a contradictory opinion. If you don't think that's trolling then you're just a dick.
And if you're not egging anyone on? Don't reply to anyone then. You "expressed your opinion". Move along.

OT: I really don't know this game. In BL1 I was a Siren through and through, although it seems like Maya is a lot more support based, but I'm willing to be open minded. It's either her or Zer0, who everyone is obviously going to go for, for good reason.

I feel like the promotional material is missing those behind the scenes with claptrap videos. Yeah bringing that back would not make me sad.

Salvador, most definitely. Playing as Brick I was let down by the rocket launchers in borderlands being crap, hopefully dual wielding them will be much more beneficial in number 2.

Hundreds or more players online at the same time in the same game environment is gameplay aspect that defines MMO's. This game cannot be compared to them as it has only 4 players max. Borderlands is a straight-up FPS with some RPG mechanics (levelling and loot drops).

As for bland, you must be confusing it with Cowadooty or dozens of other chest-high wall shooters.
No what defines an MMO nowadays is grind, grind, no story, grind, quests and grind.

I feel like I'm butting my head against a wall here with the lack of understanding of the point.
