Don't make it so repetitive...0o

Do the whole Demon's Souls thing where other players can raid your game and kill you.

I felt Borderlands is the kind of game that doesn't really need a story.

-Many of the weapon stats are hidden, like bullet speed and sway. I would like to be able to see them with the other weapon's stats.

-Missions with more variety.

-Able to mod your guns legitimately in the game.

-And more of everything. Absolutely everything I would like to see more of. Enemy varieties, gun types, characters, vehicles, elements, abilities, gun effects, NPCs, customisation, everything.

More varied environments
Most of borderlands was just desert and some town/city environments and a few snowy ones, the zombie island DLC provided a refreshing change in environments but the next borderlands really needs more varied areas.

Oh and a better story with some more varied missions wouldn't be too bad either.

More Classes, More Status Types, they got most of the Weapon types, but hell MOAR ERVRYTHING! I loved Borderlands gameplay, but I'm sure Gearbox could figure out what to do to make a better experience.

Story and option to make your own weapons of weapon parts you find. Or maybe even take your own guns apart and make something else, and use exp points you get to upgrade your weapons and equipment just like your character stats. Since the game is all about the guns that seems like a reasonable idea.

The problem with the "build your own guns" suggestion is that it dilutes the essence of the kill monster->get shiny weapon->kill stronger monster dynamic which is basically what these games rely on for anything more than idle play.

Which is why I would suggest that the weapon drops still be random as they currently are, but there be socketable items like gems in Diablo 2 which you can use to customise your weapon.

So I take it you DIDNT like the game then. Cause if you didnt like how it looked, you couldnt have really liked it, so your input is worthless really.

How about a little variety? There were maybe 5 different enemies. Also the environment was pretty bland. Don't say it's supposed to be that way, because Fallout 3 made it interesting.

more in the way of endgame content would be nice, after I killed Crawmerax there's no where to go from there.

More variety in enemies. Also, it seems like im the only one who wants this but wider and more expansive areas; racing across the desert with a few friends is epic.

One last thing : MORE GUNZ!!

Maybe a melee weapon class, would make for some awesome high powered futuristic swords etc.

-A better plot/story.

-The ability to customize weapons (or at least Frankenstein together parts from other guns like someone on the first page said)

-Some character development/background (I must know more than what the manual says!)

-Character interaction (seriously, how come there's only three or so people on the whole planet that you can talk to?)

-Storage locker anyone?

-Variation in environments

about all I can think of at the moment.

Needs a better story, more weapon variety.... I know what you're going to say, but I feel like in the end it was just a re-ordering of stats on about a dozen different weapon varieties. It got old after the middle of the second playthrough for me. More attachments, more abilities, that's what we really need.

I know that this wouldn't be too balanced, but how about gun construction? The ability to build any sort of gun from the ground up sounds appealing.
This, I would love to be able to construct my own gun.
This. Would. Be. Awesome. Like there's a building for DAHL wherever they are and you can wander in there and play with your DAHL guns to make something awesome. Take something from Fallout 3's hat.

And was I the only one that disliked the rocket launchers? I have a x4 Caustic Rocket Launcher with my Soldier that is supposed to do 1000 damage. Never gets anywhere near that -- Plus the detection seemed a bit sketchy, it seemed to go right through the guy.

Some difference between the characters other than "This one turns invisible," "This one has a turret." It was a bloody blast to play, but it was kind of disappointing that everything plot-wise is exactly the same. Plus the random civilian NPCs were kind of pointless, and said like one thing each. An actual town would be cool.

One of the things I'd like to see is some sort of actual RPGish stat system. Have the ability to customize your character up a bit more by controlling stuff like strength (melee damage), endurance(hp), dexterity(boost to reload time/hip accuracy), and agility(move speed, jump height). Sounds wierd at first I'll grant, but if we were given a choice on what stat(s) to boost each level, we'd have a bit more control over our characters to make them more varied. Not to mention coming up with unconvential builds would be possible. For instance, liked the idea of a melee Siren? Pump str/agi so you "float like a butterfly and sting like a bee."

Oh, and bring back Tannis, Zed, and Moxxi. Great characters.

The original was a pretty terrible game. I think the flaws are really blatant though; queue lots of bullet points!

- Customizable weapons, like scavenging gun components from weapons and swapping them around.
- Skill based combat, rather than JUST stats. Most enemies are unfair and cause you having to grind.
- No more bulletin boards handing out missions. Decent NPC's make it more involving.
- Oh and the vending machines, these are just excuses not to design characters as well.
- Give all optional missions a purpose, like working towards a storyline or a foreseeable reward.
- Varied environments, wastelands need to be cut waay short.
- On that matter the devs should read up on level design a little more. Even the few attempts at varied environments were made incredibly dull.
- And work on the cel shading some more, it looked terrible in the original.
- Focus on single player, multiplayer always comes second.
- No defined classes. Make all players start the same stats/abilities and then branch it all out as the levels go up.
- It needs a decent story, almost forgot ;)

I could elaborate on the weapon construction thing, i think it'd work out really well.
