That's it, my money is theirs.

And I'm totally playing as the Siren, I played one in the last game and loved her, and I'm fairly sure Maya is gonna be just as badass. I loved Lillith and I'm happy she's coming back, just not playable. :(

Also, WUB WUB WUB!

Claptrap making that adorable 'Bass, bass, wubwubwub!' noise sealed the deal.
I kid, I kid...
The deal was sealed when they announced a sequel.
After everything else I have seen, and that trailer, I calculate that there is a 628.9% chance I will buy this game.

That's probably the best trailer I've ever seen for anything.

Ever

Dibs on the Siren.
I personally prefer the uncomplicated, practical approach of wading in and cutting swaths of destruction about the size of a football field. But since it doesn't look like I'll get to grab the reigns of Brick again, I guess this "Gunzerker" will have to do. The hippie will have to get a haircut first though. And a shave. And some sweet brass knuckles.

I really need to borrow the first one from my brother, get back in the groove.

Holy crap this makes me want to play this game so much more then before! Also Zero look awesome!
You mean you're drawn to the enigmatic ninja character whose name is a number?

I'm so surprised :D

I'm calling it. Every man and his dog will be using Zero.
This was my exact thought...

This game was already on my list of must haves from 2012 (along with Guild Wars 2), having troughfully enjoyed the first game and all, but just seeing Claptrap doing his "wubwub" just sealed the deal for me, also the split-screen multiplayer for PC.

This trailer's only flaw was the dubstep. Come at me Borderlands! My body is ready!

Actually a little relieved that it's release is for later in the year. Loved the first to pieces but ran out of steam after 3 playthroughs. Now I'll actually get a chance to finish all of that awesome DLC before #2 hits the shelves.

Either the dubstep in theese trailers is infectious or they really are getting better.
I'm picking the latter.

Did I see Mordecai in the trailer? He was my fav from the original. Plus they had my money at "Play split-screen".

I'm assuming joy-puking is something like the Rainbow-Puke you see occasionally.

[sup]Good luck getting that out of the Keyboard.[/sup]

Found it funny and interesting that the Character Class I was going to use is called Zero[footnote]Yes I am aware he will be used by freaking everyone. No I do not care.
I Sniped-and-Stabbed in Borderlands 1, I'm going to do it in Borderlands 2.[/footnote].
Lot of guns. Over 870 Gajillion of them! So many guns and yet I just know that the only Sniper Rifles in there with scopes past 1.0X will have terrible Accuracy. Such was my luck before, and such it will be again.
[sup][sup]Luck, luck never changes...[/sup][/sup]

Cannae wait, especially since by then I'll have an Xbox 360 that doesn't compete with the Game to see which can be the loudest.

Yeah.

It didn't have nearly enough wub wubs :D
Nah, I can listen to loud music just fine but even very quiet the shrill whines overlapped with the thundering base leaves me with very sore ears. Besides it just lacks melody which is one of the most important factors that I take into account when listening to music.

This:
(at least has some melody)

VS

This:

(Not a metal vs dubstep statement) ;)

I actually love the Syndicate track, the second one? Not so much. I got out of my symphonic metal phase a while ago.

I was going to say this, but the promise of more "wub wub" killed it for me.

Either way two games im buying this fall as of now.
Personally not a fan on dubstep, but it fit the video well.

On topic of Borderlands 2:

I came.

Watching the trailer, I was all, 'Frikkin' sa-weet! I can't wait to play this game! More guns! More classy madness! More comic-book art style! More annoying Clap-Trap! More trash bin worlds! More-'

Then I heard the dubstep and sat in my seat with an absolute look of disgust on my face and then promptly lost the contents of my bowels.

But it's still mothereffin' Borderlands. I AM going to preorder this.

And here I thought that this was a game that I didn't need to buy on release day. Goes to show you the power of good advertising (or in this case, the best trailer ever), even when its advertising another trailer.

I'm sold! This is what proper gaming sequels should look like. Improving on the first game in ways that core gamers care about, not just a yearly rehash that "improves" by getting dumbed down for a casual audience. It's great to see that they reinvested the success of the first game to make the sequel bigger and better; I'm sure it had a much bigger budget based on the variety in that trailer alone.

Come to think of it, another proper sequel due out this year is the new Bioshock. Similar to Borderlands, we can see they invested in a bigger budget due to the success of the first game, and also similar to Borderlands, the new Bioshock doesn't look dumbed down, mainstreamed, or rehashed (compared to Bioshock 2007 that is).

Borderlands and Bioshock are both published by 2k games. These are the kind of sequels I want to see more of so I will buy both on launch day, on Steam.
