I was greatly disappointed with the first Borderlands.
But I'll be damned if this doesn't manage to look interesting.

Anyway I fucking loves me some Borderlands. I love the increased colour palette which was a real problem with the first. I cant wait to take on that mother fucking Hanar. The new menu looks amazing. Lets just hope this one is optimised for PC unlike the last one.
As for Zero, as long as he aint another melee class then yeah. Everyone will use him. If hes all up close bullshit then he will end up another dud like the Brick.

i wasn't GREATLY disappointed with the first one, but it certainly left a good bit to be desired. the only real reason i never beat it though was the lack of horizontal-split split-screen. seriously, that vertical split shit just made me and my brother rage. (never played online either because then i cannot smack the person who stole the gun i wanted... and the XBL account is linked to my brother's account on the system, so i couldnt play my own character(s))Necromancer Jim said:

Music didn't catch my fancy but seriously I will play the shit out of this when it comes out. First game was almost perfect (Ending not taken into account) The DLC was epic and worth every penny, and it was always a blast to play with friends.

I think I'll just buy it for the promise of split-screen multiplayer. I loved it in Borderlands 1. So many hours spent grinding on the zombie island with friends.
Also, me want siren. I love me some magic powers and such.

Hey I played Mordecai before it was cool. Also Mordecai is an incredibly solid character, he's not quite as powerful as Lilith but he has (In my opinion) the best class ability, and is absolutely beastly when you use him effectively. Im either going to use Zero or Salvadore on my first playthrough, probably Zero though since I liked Mordecai so much.

I passed on Borderlands; it's not so much of an issue to pick it up soon, but I'm currently backlogged by...double digit amounts...among 3 different consoles. While it's early to say now, would you Escapists think this is a title I could possibly skip out on the first, and pick up the second and be okay?

I'm liking what I see. I still have to decide if I really need to pre-order it yet, but there is some time left for me to put some thought into it
