players will get to explore unvisited regions of the planet, hopefully ones that aren't deserts.
I heartily second this. Borderlands was fun, but with the possible exception of the Dr. Ned add-on, it was sorely lacking in environmental variety.

Loved bordelands but I wanted better story/mission structure which apparently were getting so everything else is iceing, I think a lot of stufff got scraped last minute for the new art style since character backgrounds got dropped and the missions felt pretty flat with no voice acting but the rest of the game was amazingly good.

Gearbox has also promised improvements to the series' story presentation and mission structure.
Now that's what I wanted to hear! Couldn't stand the first game due to awful story presentation and I felt like it had tons of potential to be amazing. Hope they improve the feel of guns as well, they never felt really exciting to me.
Awww, give the guns some credit... Some of the shotguns. Holy crap! It shoots rockets!
No, it's not the guns themselves, they're awesome. They just feel... off. Maybe it's the sound, I don't know, I can't quite put a finger on what it is, but you know how the one thing everyone agrees on about CoD is the fact the guns feel just right? That's exactly what's missing here for me.
Eh, I disagree almost entirely on CoD about the feel of the guns. The sounds are too tinny, the recoil for nearly all guns is too small and when they hit they don't seem to have an effective impact. At least for me anyway.
Yeah I know what you mean actually, I was mostly using CoD as it's a widely known example (personally prefer the feel of some Battlefield guns). But I dunno, when I jump into that game (not a fan of multiplayer, talking singleplayer here), I don't feel bored holding a weapon. I sadly am in Borderlands and again, I can't quite put my finger on why.
I guess it's because in CoD the weapons are fixed, you get one gun you like and you're likely to use it for the whole level. In Borderlands, there's always the prospect you will find a better gun than your current ones in every chest you open, every mission you complete, thus making it harder to find a gun you would stick with.

Eh. Borderlands was awesome as was. I do hope they don't listen to these "fans" who hated the first game and wind up turning the sequel into some full blown emo rpg or something set in some caves.

Desert + guns + humor + cars = Good. More of that, please. The DLC was great, even better than the original game. Hopefully that is the way they'll lean.

Awesome news, but they need to be really careful, the first game was great, now the sequel needs to do it justice.

Oh man, that's the best news I've heard since finding out a memory wipe could forever erase Duke Nukem Forever from my mind. Can't wait to have more adventures with Mordecai!
NO! If we erase it then we can never learn from it! ಠ_ಠ

And also glad to hear about Borderlands 2 and also hope that Gearbox fixes the story setting because it was very disorganised. Side note, more pre-set weapons sounds nice! Yes the random generated ones were cool but sometimes feel a bit lacking ¬__¬

Let's hope it's better than Duke Nukem Forever. I loved Borderlands and thought if anyone could finish DNF it would be GearBox! DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERP.

Here's hoping for some more great characters. I'd love to see what they can come up with.

Even if they bring the old classes back, I'd at least like some character customization.

New non Desert Areas? Well, what about the other side of the planet? Maybe there are some safe zones that haven't been discovered on Pandora yet?

Well I am excited. Hopefully it won't go the way of Crackdown 2 and be not as good as the original

Hmm, but will the opening credits be as excellent as the first one?

I think not.

Bigger T&A for the female character thank you very much.
Why? If you play as her, it's first person. If you don't, then you don't interact with her. And besides, the internet has the best T&A you'll ever find, and it's free.

Hmmm. Hopefully it will be a little less boring. I must have sunk 15 hours into it and still never got to see anything other than lots of dirt and scrawny masked men.

All I want in borderlands 2 is being able to actually tool your gun's parts, or add augments.

And can I get some deeper leveling tree's people, embrace the rpg'yness.

I should probably finish the first one brb.
