To sum it up, All the incredibly awesome stuff add up for the bad stuff. Awesome! Good to know that so many people like the game, including me. Im going to get it as soon as i can!

I go for Roland most often, usually as a Support Gunner, which breaks the ammo system over its knee. After that, his primary focus is self buffs, Overload, Grit, and the like, with the two regen on a kill skills, Stat and shield regen. IIRC he's at level 46 right now, but Far Cry 2 distracted me.

Horrible game mechanics, floaty movement and the game is either extremely hard or extremely easy depending on the enemy levels(even a single level difference in favour of the enemy will make you do half damage).
The most retarded weapon generation system ever, 90% of all pistols I found fired as fast as or faster than 80% of all SMGs I found(2.5 average firing speed for pistols and 2.3 for SMGs)
Bullet spread, delay and randomness is just stupid, the only thing that can reliably kill is running up to the enemy, shooting the weak spot and hoping it dies before you. But for some reason I still enjoy playing, as long as there are no fucking claptraps.(still need to find a way to remove the voices)

Personally I played a soldier, currently level 45 and specced turret support(health and ammo regen combined with cooldown reduction) because the AI is fucked(primarily melee but ranged is not a problem) and will always attack the turret. Apparently a tiny turret is a larger threat than a 120 damage 10.4 attack speed 90 accuracy 150 bullet recoilless support rifle with a very fast reload speed.
My other equipment is a 1000 power quick healing shield, corrosive longbow grenades and a 20 team ammo regen class mod.

Basically my equipment combined with my spec is easymode, bordering on invincibility. Of course, removing any of these things means I will die in seconds.

That's true. The AI is terrible. The ending also sucks. Seems like a way for easy DLC "The vault, finally you get to see it! For ten bucks..."

The game is fun, really. I was disappointed at first but i'm not anymore.

I play as Brick. Level 27.
I use Revolvers, Repeaters and Grenades.
I have level 3 explosive punch and i follow the tank tree.
I like Corrosive and Explosive weaponry.

I play as Roland. I like to use a variety of weapons, but I prefer ones with higher damage, specifically shotguns. I loved the game, and I'm glad to find that someone else actually preferred single player over multiplayer.

It was alot of fun at first, but once I got my character up to level 50, it got pretty boring. I played as the other three classes for awhile and it was ok, but it really lost its appeal pretty quickly for me.

Wow. I think I'm the only one that hated Borderlands. I mean, no disrespect to the people that love it, but I thought it was the most repetitive grind machine I've ever played. At first I thought that that it was only my first impression. So I kept it up till' I got well into having a car. Even then I felt I was grinding against endlessly spawning enemies. Also The enemies weren't that creative. Most of em' were just slightly different models of each other.

It was Fallout 3 meets WoW.

I do have to say though, the art and designs of the game were phenomenal.

It's a really fun game, but I can't help but feel as though I'm not playing the game right since I only really have standard weapons and none of the absolute kickass weapons I see other people getting...

I absolutely loved it, it's my GOTY so far, though Dragon Age is picking up speed. I have a lvl 50 soldier with a CR and a repeater pistol, a level 36 hunter with a sniper rifle and a revolver, and my 3rd playthrough is a lvl 18 Brick with shotguns and rocket launchers.

the DLC pack for it is awesome. The complaints most people have about it are true in that it's repetitive, gets boring once you hit the level cap because the chances of you finding better equipment are really slim and the story was poorly slapped together.

Still, any game that gets me to play through it 3 times is doing something right.

I got the game a while back and it was awesome. I leveled up 27 levels in only two days and people said I had no life. I'm a Lv. 50 Lilith now.

Mordecai all the way.

I quite enjoyed it, from a pure fun perspective. My friend, an RPG junkie, said that the RP of RPS was greatly understated. I tend to agree. It really is an FPS with skill trees, not an RPG with first-person shootage. Still, I liked it. It's fun, if not deep, and if you like FPS games it's worth the money. I just wish they could've added AI allies in single player. It's lonely playing by yourself.
Also the fact that the NPCs were essentially bits of scenery pissed me off. The fact that Patricia Tannis didn't so much bat an eyelid when I shot her point blank in the face with a 300+ damage exploding sniper round really bugs me. And the (near nonexistent) lip-syncing is terrible. Notice how almost all the human characters wear masks or mouth-covering helmets? Lazy animators.

Still, overall, I thought it was good.

I have a level 26 soldier, and my friend (who's only played for about 3 days) now has a level 26 hunter. I take my laptop around, plug it into his TV and use keyboard and mouse; he uses a 360 controller on his PC (weird, huh?) and we play over LAN. So much fun.

I loved this game throughout my first and second playthrough as Mordecai. Once I finished that second playthrough and began the loot hunt, it very VERY quickly lost it's appeal to me. I've tried leveling another character (44 Siren I believe) but the game is just really stale once you've finished it. It needs more enemy types, more focus on story, and a LOT more weapons for L50 characters to search for. I think I saw somewhere that there's 3 orange weapons for each weapon class at the end of the game. That's unacceptable for a game with millions of weapon variants. They had to have realized that people would quickly get to L50 and then would really be bored out of their skulls.

I have had zero problems with headshots. In fact far too easy is the weapon your using accurate ?

OP Great fun game, Single player feels like a MMO shooter :D. Havent tried online its pretty fun just blasting everything and getting neat toys to play with.

My favourite toy has to have been the High damage high rate of fire SMG that fired 4 shots with every shot. My DPS was around 1600 :D And to add insult to injury it was pretty accurate :D Shame it was my Soldier who got that :D The scoped very accurate Hunters shotguns are awesome too :D
With 97% and higher accuracy sniper rifles, but with 0 proficiency, I can't get one to save my life. But like I think I mentioned, I'm playing soldier with smg and shotguns so I'm relying on elemental damage anyway.
