When playing co-op, I just played with friends of mine over a LAN server.
So, pc worked brilliantly for me. :)
But that's just me... I'll play games online, sure. But Borderlands isn't an "online" game for me, for some reason. :S

So, your decision, though (as already said) this is a pretty good idea of how to decide:

Whichever you have more friends to play with on would be a better choice. It's only fun in co-op.

360, i own it on the PC and im quite disappointed, the pcs multiplayer is 10 years behind and the game is boring in singleplayer.

Well if you care about the DLC that is only coming out for 360 and PS3 then perhaps get the 360 version, though I doubt either version is better.
uuuhhhh, the dlc IS available for the pc version.

I personally play it on the 360 and it's not as bad as it sounds. I really like the PC better as a gaming platform but I just have more friends that play it on the 360. There's almost always someone to play it with. Oh and while I'm on that subject, always play it with someone. Co-op is really your only option. It's just not as fun without it.

The multi-player services on the PC suck....the only thing the PC version got is its mouse and keyboard...which still got me to buy the game on the PC instead...=P
Pretty much this. The PC uses lamespy for online matchmaking and it has a lot of issues like astoundingly high latency and random dropping. Plus all of the DLC is apparently going to be just sprung randomly for the PC version with no indication of when it's actually coming out.

Try actually reading even the title first. If you had, you'd realize that PS3 isn't an option.

Anyway, I'd say the 360 because, having played both versions, I can say that the console versions (both 360 and PS3 but in your case 360 because that addresses the actual topic) control much better. The game was clearly made for a console, not a PC. That having been said, if you have a million friends on the PC version and none on the 360, take the PC. If multiplayer is not a factor or the amount of friends is roughly even, go for the 360.
Yeah, I read the title.
I know it's not an option.
I'm just being cynical.
Cool your jets, Mr.Uptight.

Yes. Go with the one that your friends own.

I have been having this dilemma as well. I just got a brand new computer, so graphics are gonna be pretty damn good for PC. I want to know which to go with strictly on a controls standpoint.

Yup. I would agree. As always tho. Shooters control best with a M&K

Borderlands is only the most fun when you are playing it in multiplayer.

And according to the Escapist's very own Shamus young the PC multiplayer sucks big time.

Basically you should avoid the PC version like the plague and here are the 2 main reasons.

"* When someone activates a level transition, it pulls everyone else through with them. This opens up the opportunity for griefing"

This only happened to me once but is very annoying. Also when a player goes into a menu it prevents everyone from travelling.

Now this wouldn't be that big of a problem except..

"* You can't ever kick anyone ever. Once they're in the game, you're stuck with them."

You can kick people very easily in the 360 version. Sorry but the PC multiplayer seems far too broken to be much fun. As a PC gamer and console gamer I can assure you the controls are not bad at all. Just play around with the look sensitivity until you find a setting thats comfortable for you. I recomend turning it down to a little more than a quarter from the default setting. The headaches from the PC multiplayer are not worth the barely noticable prettier graphics.

Edit: Actually it looks like you can kick people in the PC version using the esc menu. Still the rest of the stuff looks annoying.
Shamus Young is an idiot. You can cancel fast travel by opening a menu. You can kick people. And there is a patch.

edit; ugh thats like the 5th time ive double posted today
