Who's the chick in the armor?
It's a Ghost!
Although as for her name, I dunno, maybe it's Nova from the the cancelled one, or maybe it's someone else entirely.
Makes me wish they hadn' cancelled that actually.

=I'm so torn about buying SC2, on the one hand, Star Frikkin Craft 2. On the other, if it goes beyond my acceptable DRM limit. I hope it doesn't do that.
That's almost certainly Kerrigan, pre-Infestation. It looks like they'll be turning her last stand into a cutscene.

The only DRM is a one-time activation. They recommend playing singleplayer while logged into battle.net, but there is a "play offline" feature as well.

Yay, now I don't need to worry about waiting for someone to upload it or try and catch it during the game.

Hooray for leaked videos!

P.S.: I thought the ghost was Nova? I didn't look very carefully.
Edit: Actually, yeah, has to be Kerrigan pre-infestation; she has red hair, whereas Nova is blond.

I found myself giggling like a prepubescent girl watching that, and then staring back at myself asking "What the hell are you doing?" after it was over.

I am not ashamed though.

I'm curious. What is your acceptable limit? Starcraft2 requires battle.net for multi-player and a single online activation for single-player.

So I'm assuming you're going to be doing the SC2 review, Mr.Funk?
I'd love to, and while I THINK I could judge the singleplayer campaign objectively there's no reason to throw that into jeopardy. So it might be Greg or Steve, or maybe Russ. Susan doesn't really play PC games.

Right, now I downloaded it off of YouTube to see if I could find something fun in those fast-paced sequences. I guess the most noteworthy thing is that Kerrigan (Infested) uses some psi-fireball against... something (probably Zeratul as they seem to be fighting). Spiffy!

Heh, you can always trust Blizzard to have some fantastic cutscenes. I'm still torn as to whether I want to get it right away and then get the zerg/protoss campaign expansions or if I just want to wait for the inevitable battle chest that's going to contain them all. On the one hand, I loves me some SC II and I really want to get better (I really suck right now), but on the other my bank account would like me more if I waited. Decisions, decisions...
the two expansions are about a year off from each other (a year for zerg then another year for protoss), so by the time they come out youll have recovered from the financial loss of purchasing the previous one.

plus a battle chest could be as far off as 3 years away from the release of wings of liberty, so youd be waiting awhile.

Man, I hadn't realized how much I'd missed hearing that snake-like bastard Arcturus Mengsk speak until now. Let's hope they can come up with some reason for him to say "Macintosh" in the actual game.
Seconded with the fury of a Norse god! I hate Macs, but damn, hearing him say the name of that family of apple was a soundbite of awesome.

It's refreshing to see a desire for unbiased reviews! Steve's done his share of PC games so I can see him being a good pick. I was only wondering because you seem to have caught SC2 fever with the beta ;)

Hell, maybe you guys could do a two opinion review or something.

Good news, Starcraft 2 comes out on July 27th, my Birthday is on July 16th, and Summer school (Fast tracking an English credit) ends with it.

SO what does this mean?
Birthday= pre-order,
And summer school ending means I'm not going to be distracted from my studies by this AMAZING game.
The Beta gave me 11 nerdgasms per minute.

I didn't know that, as far as Star Craft goes I've been under a bit of rock.

Acceptable limits to me are offline systems only for single player, even Steam can be used offline for single player games. The ability to use multiple PC's with one account/game disc and nothing being always on.

Nothing especially out there but increasingly hard to find all the same.
