Whatever, just wash your hands.
Mayhem Brawler is on sale for like $4 on steam so I went ahead and grabbed it.

I've only played one level so far, its ok, combat feels pretty decent, nothing compared to something like streets of Rage 4, but doesn't feel bad. Much more story then I'm used to having in a brawler and I hope the female lead stops saying hashtag, but I have a feeling she won't. It does have multiple paths you can choose from so thats neat.

This has been out for a good minute and got released into a compilation pack, or you can buy individually off any of the digital stores.

There's actually quite a few brawlers on the GBA that go under the radar. River City EX being one of them.

Surprisingly very solid.

Tried giving Rita's Revenge a 2nd shot; boy do I regret that, Lol. The game feels a lot more stiff than the last time I remember it. It just doesn't really feel good to move around. Boss duos bullshit you to death with combo breakers and hyper armor on both enemies, so fuck you for trying to even get a basic combo on them while the other one is tearing your shit open. Literally the same problem with TMNT SR and it feels 5x worse, because at least in SR, boss characters would be separate from one another, so they were generally easier to get some damage on and keep the other one at bay. In this game it's as if double bosses are just chained together like a tether ball. They barely leave each other's space and basically just stop you from even approaching because they barely get put into hitstun when you attack them. And in the off chance you do put one into hitstun, the other will just armor through your shit and knock you out of it.

I don't understand why they didn't think of something else that'd be a better solution for boss duos? The lay out of regular enemy patterns in the game is actually a really big improvement from SR. In SR, it felt like you could basically just tunnel vision through enemy waves and patterns, not really caring where they were. In RR, it felt the opposite. Especially with the birdmen and Shank Putties, who are annoying as hell to deal with when they're both on screen together.

Overall stiffness and boss jank got me not feeling this one.

I'm glad I didn't get that. I was really tempted cause the trailer looked awesome, but after hearing it played stiff and such, I decided to at least wait.
