Whatever, just wash your hands.
Absolum, a roguelike beatemup just came out. So far its kinda neat, the visual design is good, the fighting feels decent, not as good as something like Streets of Rage 4, but better then most. The roguelike element so far seems ok, but I haven't played enough to really get a feel for it. The powerups you get during a run feel better then something like Scott Pilgrim which you were either underpowered or way over powered depending on what you bought.

I won't be able to get this game, as I am focused on Yotei, but will keep on my wish list for PS5. I saw some of this game in Max's stream a few nights ago.

Steam nextfest going on, which means lots of demos and there is a demo for Marvel Cosmic Invasion and it feels fantastic to play. It was made by Tribute games which make Shredders Revenge. I only played 2 levels but the demo gives you a full 9 characters to play and they all feel decently different, granted I only played She Hulk, Rocket, Storm and Wolverine. But each felt pretty different, especially She Hulk since she fights almost like a wrestler compared to everyone else feeling more like a normal brawler character. Either way, really looking forward to it coming out now. Although it does have issues, gameplay is almost perfect, but the sound and music need work, sound and voice lines especially. Punching sounds kinda weak and the voices are kinda armature sounding.

@Worgen, Max loves Absolum.

Cosmic Invasion Reviews are looking great.

Oh man, this game is looking good! I think it will sedate everyone waiting for the x-men arcade port (Or maybe completely them forget about it)

Gonna wait a few weeks to get it. I am thinking about getting it with the new Terminator 2d game

I honestly just don't you bother waiting for another port of the original arcade game anymore. I just play the Japanese version on MAME.

There are so many good games coming out at the end of the year and next year. Dancin Divas is out now, and I plan on playing that first.

Actually been playing it and swapping between this and Hades 2 on my Switch. Its took a bit to get going but once I figured out the groove this was something special. It gives off that Dotemu wanted to do a Golden Axe sequel but Sega said naw so they did their own with blackjack and hookers.

The lightning is king when builds come off with light combos or strong but I am enjoying the air for juggles and fire for dot utility and you can mix them so you can have multiple elements going in a run. Also the damage scale if you want to customize your difficulty solo.

Cosmic Invasion Reviews are looking great.

Man we are eating good when it comes to beat em ups I was sold on this game when I saw Marvel vs Capcom movesets being used but for beat em up everything else is just icing overflow.

I bought the Ninja Saviors Remaster
Cool. Consoles or PC? Either way, you're in for a great time.

Whenever you get the chance, be sure to try out Dancin Divas. It's a great game with a lot of charm. It's on Steam only right now, but I am hoping it gets to other consoles. I will be picking up Rushing Beat X in March.

PC. I played Kataimachi, wasn't feeling him. His jab strings and air special are good, but his ground special is ass outside of a few fringe scenarios and juggles. Had a lot more fun with Ninja last night. Power Throw just clears up enemies on the side.

Kamaitaichi is a bit tough to use, but he's good. You just gotta know how to use him. His grabs aren't traditional, directional baed, and you have to at least be pressing the attack button to grab anything that doesn't die in one hit. Yaksha, while a bit more difficult to use by comparison, I find way more fun than Kamaitaichi. Ninja and Yaksha are my personal favorites. Raiden I don't enjoy playing much. He makes the game more difficult than necessary or even for two players.

I heard Kunoichi was cool, might give her a whirl for a run. Ninja just has so much cool synergy with his kit. Meaty Dash kick into juggles into grounded specials, as well his regular attack being guidable for getting around certain enemies like the yellow mechs, and he literally turns into a giant hitbox. Being able to walk with items is a plus for positioning and crowd control. Worst thing about him is him being big and slow, so you can't really mash out of certain enemy strings and it's harder to react to enemy leap attacks than the smaller characters.

And that's something the remake added. In the SNES original, he would be stuck like anyone else, if he grabbed anything.

She is fun too. Her only weakness is being the Jack of All Stats and her EX Attacks (green glowing attacking by holding up) are not as entertaining/flashy, but useful if you're trying to keep your distance.
I really need to get around to 1ccing that game.
It ain't easy. I've only managed to do it with Ninja on the Switch version, and Yaksha on the Steam version. I've 1CC the Japanese SNES version with all three characters though. On both Normal and Hard.

Was trying to 1cc with Ninja last night, but fell asleep halfway through (was 2:30 at night). Enemies are generally easier to bait out and predict in normal, so I can probably get a 1CC after a few attempts. More concerning enemies are the female ninjas and big shogun guys. Also enemies that have a lot of health overall.

If I remember right, I could rather easily get to the last or next to last level, but something would usually mess me up at that point.
