Brilliant Idea - Play as Iron Maiden and slowly make the game more and more mundane to match their musical progression.

Genius.

I'm kinda with this guy too, after looking up info about their legendary cover art, (it's what drew me into Iron Maiden as a kid in the first place.) I was disappointed to hear that they sure didn't seem to have too much respect for the artist who created Eddie, and did their best and most famous album covers. Of course I'm only reading one side of the story but it seems a shame, I don't think there's many bands quite so linked to their cover art, and when you are, it seems only common sense to keep that artist happy and producing more quality work for you.

I kinda went off Iron Maiden after 7th Son anyway, and soon after that they dropped Derek Riggs, their main artist.

Of course there was 'Ed Hunter' but I heard that was pretty damned awful

I actually have Ed Hunter. It's fun in that "this game is terrible, but I'm shooting people on Acacia Avenue" sort of way. But it has no save slots, so you have to run through the entire game in one go and it's just painful.
It also made absolutely no sense. You see Piece of Mind Eddie turn into the Incredible Hulk and run off somewhere, and you as the appropriately named Detective Ed Hunter go to find him. And get shot at for no reason by crazy people and punk rockers.

I have a couple ideas I'd like to submit to Bioware for Mass Effect 3 but I have no idea how. Like the biggest site on the extranet, a hive of scum and villiany where all the Vorcha post, called VorChan. At one point they'll be a thread in the infamous backslash triangle with a dot in the middle where they make fun of Shepard through photoshops. You can reply yourself or have a party member reply, then check after a mission for their responses. A high paragon shepard might succeed in using reason while a high renegade Shepard would troll them and get responses like "BURN", "PWNED" and "GLKWYD!"

Or a Krogan priest, Father Galtog, who talks about how every time he sees a sinner he wants to gouge out their eyes, stick his fingers in the sockets like a bowling ball and pull off their faces. But then, every time, just before he does he remembers that that is not the way. He also gives out ridiculous punishments at the confessional booth like 12,000 hail mary's for impure thoughts.

not sure i'd call it a "crazy" idea but how about a JRPG that after the swooshy transition to a fight instead of a turn based menu driven combat it is a fully realised beat em up in the style of SF4 or MvC3

Kinda like the Tales series, then?

My crazy idea is already taken. Zombie outbreak in Tokyo, AND a guy with a machine gun arm? Hell yeah. I love Japan...

if we're talking the same "tales" series that includes Tales of Symphonia then no. that is not fully realised beat em up game play its a poor imitation. similar to saying various FPS's have fully realised driving sections when they have cars that can strafe
