Considering all the characters are pretty burly and have to be for the parkour, I don't want to see female characters in it.
And anyway how does being unable to play as your gender "exclude" you from playing a game? Following that trend only females will have played tomb raider or mirror's edge.
Because apparently leaving a female choice out of an MP game with customization means that they have some prejudice or something of the like against them, and it detracts from the game play somehow.
Funny, CoD: Black Ops has large customisation in MP but nobody mentions that you can't be a female there? same for TF2...And yet there are females playing those games, you know why? because they like the gameplay and they find it FUN. I fail to see how being a female (model) in an MP game has much affect on you playing the game itself and how much you enjoy it.
If there was a game where I had to play as a customisable female and yet it was really fun, then I would still play it. Even if it wasn't a great game but i still liked the way it played I wouldn't say I'm not buying it cos it doesn't have customisable males! sexist!1!1oneone. Honestly I can understand the argument they're making but...
...If you're going to ignore a game for 1 factor it should be the gameplay, not a factor which would be MERELY aesthetic (assuming this is all it is, not affecting abilities, speed etc), and especially when you don't even see your own model for a majority of time as its an FPS game. Some people are just being narrow minded.
Honestly, they've explained the issue, it'll be near half the options on each because of longer work times in both customisable sections as well as any extra costs and time delay on the game being released (it's been in the works for ages now), it's not an excuse its just an explanation.
