Anyway, sounds interesting to me. Yes, I know there are mods available to PC gamers, but a lot of modders don't really seem to have issues like game balance in mind. Sometimes there's something to be said for a unified vision under a single hand.
Exactly WHERE does a house making mod need balance? In regards to which "gameplay elements"?
And plenty of adventure / quest mods are made with balance in mind.

Bethseda themselves can't into balance at all.

Yeah I got the "mod" for making a house.
Crashed, again and again, and again.

I will get it, simply because I support Bethesda, and its only five bucks.
Honestly its a better purchase then Mass Derp 3: Leviathan.

- Only 400 microsoft points ($4 dollars) for a nice feature
Actually $5 For americans.
They get 80 points for $1

And Canadians get Cheated and only get 70 Points for $1 So it, and everything else on XBLA, is more expensive.
Ah, thanks for correcting me. Now whenever I purchase things off Xbox Live, I will know how much money to save up and do some adding/subtracting (no sarcasm). As for Canada.. why would they do that to them? Does seem unfair in all honesty.
I don't know. But it pisses me off when a $20 card only gives me 1400. I want the full 1600 so i can buy Dawnguard or Minecraft for the Xbox.

But nope they cost 1600 Points. Which means if I want them I gotta buy a $40 card.
They sell 1600 cards at EB Games I believe. Also 400 point cards. And depending where you live or if you have friends in the US you could get them to buy the cards and just pay them back with Steam games or something. I am pretty sure the American cards work here.
Nope. Everywhere I have been only sells 1400 point cards. including EBgames and the online Retailers. If I try to buy stuff on the american sites I am transferred to the Canadian ones. And guess what? 1400 POINTS.

Actually it is debatable if Canadians get cheated. Our dollar may be about the same right now but Canadians on average make more money than Americans.
20% of my income goes to taxes. We may earn more, but more of it is taken away. Yay for misconceptions. A few hundred dollars of every paycheque I get goes to taxes.

... Anyway, I may consider getting this even if I already have the similar mods. Looks pretty nice.
American Federal Income Tax is about equal to the Canadian income tax in most Brackets.

In short "CONSOLES GET FUCKED IN THE ASS AGAIN, HAHAHAHHAHA!"
I think PCs get just as "ass fucked" as the consoles because now there is a longer wait for an expansion that will actually be worth your time, this is $5, that's a pittance to most gamers, whether they want this or not.

WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK?????????

Sorry for the language, but people are actually interested in this????????

If you want kids or a wife, why not get up from your fucking computer and find one, or do the people who can't find a girl buy these things?
Good advice bro, I just walked outside, got married and had kids, it's all thanks to your comment.

Meanwhile, on the PlayStation 3...

Many people have a real wife and real kids...which is why they'd prefer to have fake ones. ;p

Anyway, unless I can divorce my wife and kill my kids I'm not overly interested. It looked very much like there is only one type of house to chose from. I'd like a bit of choice to make the house how I want rather than having a pre-set building.

Choices are nice!
A or B. Torture Chamber or Daedric Shrine. Bathroom or Pit with spikes.

Actually...why don't any of the houses have bathrooms? I mean, Riften has it's own sewer system, so why are there no squat toilets? I guess the people of Tamriel don't poop.
The streets are clearly too clean for them to be throwing poop out of their windows.

Meh, maybe if they let me create a castle with battlements and then dig under ground to make a city. I would like a quest to become emperor or one of the kings of sky rim.

Well i loved Frostcrag Spire from Oblivion more than the other poxy houses. This is essentially that, you build it. Amazing for me, really.

So the actual impact on the game word will be that a guard will tell me 'I heard you built a house' at some point.

This is pointless dicking about if I ever saw it. Not buying. Wouldn't even download if it was free.

That was such a peaceful trailer...
I might get this just to feel like I am playing a current-gen Harvest Moon.

We also end up paying a lot more in taxes and other expenses, since EVERYTHING in Canada pretty much is more expensive than the same thing in the US. Also if you buy something in the USA and get it shipped in, they still charge you currency exchange as if the Canadian dollar were 15% weaker than the american dollar so you still end up paying more.

OT: This DLC looks kind of neat, but I'll have to see how fleshed out it is before I buy it because I already have some house mods for my PC game. If this DLC differentiates itself from them enough then I'll definitely look into it.

EDIT: Oops, I horribly broke what I was quoting :(

Welcome to the wonderful world of point transactions. Where they deliberately design it so you will never have the exact amount you need to purchase something, either forcing you to buy more, or always have an amount to small to spend anything on.

Anecdotal: My father was born and raised in Michigan and we now live in Canada. According to him and his experience, though you pay less sales tax in the US, the amount of income, property etc tax makes things about on par with the amount of taxes we pay in Canada. The difference is that we have health care in Canada.

This idea is so ridiculous and the narrator so deadpan that had it been April I would have believed this DLC to be a rather elaborate joke.

But the question still stands... why would I want to adopt Skyrim's brat children?
