Building my first Rig.

Okay so I finally have a job that gives me decent money so I can finally attempt at building a gaming computer. I am looking at bare-bone PCs for the tower and a good basis for the things that I am going to add.
I am currently looking at this one:

Pretty much I am asking for advice on what I should do to make my first gaming rig and if either of those two are good. I know I would probably have to switch out the power supply so that I can actually get it to work right.

Don't get them; you'd have to replace a lot more than just the PSU. And the case is terrible; just build it yourself.

Also what's your budget.

I would say my budget is between 1-2.5 thousand dollars. Know any good cheap tower shell and where I can get it?

You need to replace those RAM with something that runs with 1.5 volt. 1.65 volt isnt good for SB

and I would go with 2gb 6950

1.65v is fine, but if the OP's worried then I guess he can find some 1.5v RAM [http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145339]. And 1GB VRAM is fine for 1920x1080.

And I often go up to 1.1gb vram when I play on 1920x1080 and on my normal resolution I even go up to 1.6-1.7gb but then again its quite rare to have that high resol.

I picked that RAM because it was part of a combo with the CPU and I didn't bother to look at the voltages, because you know, both types will work.

Except that 1.7v won't work, and actually will damage the CPU. 1.65v is fine.

If you're so worried then, buy the goddamn 1.5v; disregard that most new 1.65v RAM will run at 1.5v - 1.55v at their rated timings, or that you can always just set it to 1.6v.

Edit: 1.60v is the ideal safe maximum Yeah.. 1.65 volt is totally safe!

Sure, most new RAM, which anyone buying parts today is likely to get. On the offchance they aren't they can just set it to 1.6v to virtually no performance loss.
