I actually enjoyed this game.
Are you sure you're talking bout Bullet Witch?
Clunky game, sub-par graphics, woman whom is rather pleasing to look at (especially with the download content), with a big ass upgradable gun, shooting ugly ass things, using over the top ridiculous powers to a story that makes some sense, but int he ed makes no sense... Yeah, that's Bullet Witch, much better then some games I've played.
Certainly not on par with Dirge of Cerberus (which when I ignored the fact that it was FF7 franchise drek), which was very good, but a pretty good stand alone game. Just not for 60 bucks and up.
You must not have a very high standard for games if you thought Dirge of Cerberus and Bullet Witch were good games. But that's just my opinion. You can like whatever games you want to. Everyone has different tastes...

Seriously though...Dirge of Cerberus...a good game?

Well, see, I have never played a truly bad game, except he-who=shall-not-be-named. And yes, I have played it. My uncle had it. My uncle has cool shit.
Now, I won't say they were great games, neither was truly to my liking, but you have to understand, that each game brought interesting aspects to the table, while neither was truly innovative, I can't honestly find games to truly compare them to. And no, you cannot compare a third person action shooter with RPG elements to a first person shooter, or an action platformer. So, you simply have to judge them on their own merits. And out of 10, I would have easily given them a 7.5. Good for a play through or two, but no real replayability after so many upgrades.
I respect your opinion, but I can't help but disagree. There are plenty of games I oculd compare DoC and BW to. I won't continue this argument because neither of us will be changing the others mind...

Let's just agree to disagree...

Any game that more or less declares itself a low-rent knock off of Bloodrayne, which is itself a low-rent knock off of, well, everything, is not a game I'd spend any money on, no matter how hot the leather-clad paranormal.

Glad to see my instincts were dead-on.
bullet witch plays absolutely nothing like bloodrayne...

Well see, that's the thing though.
I know my opinion is ill informed. The only game I know that's like DC, is BW, and vice versa. I know there are probably better ones out there, I just have never heard of or played them. My opinion can surely be changed, it's just I don't have such games that would show to me why they're so bad.
Take for example, a game you might compare Bullet Witch to: Is game X like Bullet Witch only better? What makes it so? Know of any decent gameplay videos?
Never assume that a person's opinion can't be changed without first trying. I mean, it's one thing to simply say there are games that do it better, but it's entirely another thing to show someone said games.
And on that note; do you know of any games like it that do a better job? I would surely like to see what that kind of style of play can really bring to the table.
I know I COULD change your opinion, I just don't want to risk alienating you. Not everyone is as accepting of other peoples opinions (FINAL FANTASY VII FANBOYS!!!) as others may be. If I had known your opinion was so misinformed then I would have gladly jumped on the opportunity to let my opinion run free.

If you want a game that is a lot of mindless shooting...but can also be a lot of fun, I'd check out the Serious Sam games on the PC (they aren't that new so they will work on older PCs). If you want something like Dirge of Cerberus (minus the Final Fantasy) then just go check out Devil May Cry. Sure, you can't upgrade every detail of your guns like in DoC, but there is more action than DoC that is much more fun to do and the cutscenes don't take up 75% of the game...

I never really liked DMC. It reminded me too much of Ninja Gaiden.
Then just play Serious Sam...

I shall have to grab a copy then.
You've got quite a few to choose from. I think Serious Sam 2 would be your best choice. It's the most recent of them all...

If you wanna play on a console, they released a Serious Sam game on the xbox
