Looks like i need to upgrade...my GTX9800+ just aint gonna cut it for this game..i meet all the other specs though :).
I have the same card, I honestly think there is another year or two to squeeze out of it. I don't know about yours but I clocked mine up a bit and still runs anything on high and I'll usually tolerate games up to medium. The point where I invest in a new card I when I have to drop it anywhere below medium.
Even though it's a great card it is such a shame they discontinued the card so early in its life span, always planned to just buy another one when my rig couldn't handle high and SLI 2 cards, but I haven't been able to find a distributor of the card.
I have mine overclocked alot as well..honestly the only thing better than the 9800GTX+ would be a GTX460. Apparently 2 of the in SLI is better than a 480 is and with easier cooling. SO imma keep this 9800 and upgrade when i can afford to build my own desktop from scratch. Then imma keep it for pure Physx games even after that lol. It's gonna get used till 2017 probably at the rate games aren't using PC specs to make them.

Looks at specs:
*OS: Good
*Processor: Well my PC says Dual CPU and it's an Intel, that souncs like Core 2 Duo. Plus it runs at 2 GHz
*RAM: I have 2GB
*HDD: I have 17.3 GB left (out of 99). I should be okay
*Video Card: I have DX9. I have no idea what those other words mean. But something tells me my Integrated 965 Express Chipset isn't going to cut it.
*Everything else: I think I have an Internet connection. Right?

I remember having huge problems running UT3 and TF2 though.

I've been getting by with an 8800GT (the 256MB version at that) for years now... about bloody time to upgrade, me thinks!

While I'm about it, those new i5 2 series chips are looking sweet - I might just have to completely over-haul my tower :D Wait, that's like £1000...

Shit.
Nah, £60-£100 for motherboard £150 - £200 for cpu (I cba checking the current prices) and £150 - £200 for Very good graphics card (I'm thing GTX 460 or ATI 6850 for value for money)
hardly £1000 and a very good rig :) (might have to get new ram and other peripherals, but they don't cost that much)

Any word on the DRM for this yet? I am hoping none. I would rather Pre-Order this for the PC (as I kinda promised Mike Capps I would) then for the console as I think it will look much better on the PC and I have the rig to run it.

There are three constants in an Unreal Engine game:
1. It will run on practically any system
2. It will take a month to load all the textures in
3. People will have lumpy bizzare faces and be overly muscular

You don't need to upgrade yet. It's a solid card. It will run anything from UE3 engine flawlessly. These requirements are always higher than they are in reality.

Sweet. I loved Painkiller. I should be able to run this fine. My HD5770 should eat the game, but my AMD 2.2Ghz Dual Core is on the lower end, but thankfully about the bare minimum.

Wow. My PC will actually be able to run the game. Almost on recommended settings, too (I have everything except for a quadcore, but I have an overclocked triplecore that goes up to 3.1). Let's just hope this isn't going to be a Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit (you know what I'm talking about, PC players)...

Why do you think I'm from USA? I'm in fact from Sweden and we pay 25% vat tax on everything.

still, it's Europe

down here in Argentina, technology and shit like that is quite expensive, and they tend to screw us over some times too

that's why piracy (see, the biggest difference noticeable is in video games, for example) is so damn big and almost accepted culturally =P

To anyone who doesn't really know specs:

Your crappy PC from the late 90s can probably run modern games without AA (antialiasing) enabled. Anyone could max it out, but when "maxed out" is used as an expression it usually doesn't include the AA. Just 2x to 4x really changes the game, which is why X-Box 360 doesn't use it. Great framerate without it, but yeesh once you get used to it it gets hard to go back.

it's a UE3 fps why would it need massive specs
I don't know, but it does. Quad core and a GTX260? Why not demand a xeon 3ghz and sli'd 580s to run Pac-Man Championship edition?
