So here I was, just strollin around school with my posse, and this kid called me an idiot. So I made my friends corner him, and one of them just happened to pull out a video camera to record my sweet justice. So I shoved him, tried to choke him, and punched him in the face a couple times, and then he gave me a pile driver! QQ, why would anyone do that?

I'm sorry, but the only thing I've seen of him on facebook was a photo of him shirtless that was posted on an early thread. That photo alone screams douche bag. Now after I see that comment he left for that girl, he reeks of even BIGGER douche bag. I'm sorry, but no one in their right mind would believe this kid's stupid bullshit. You can even tell by the way he moves that he meant to bully him and do harm, i.e. the punch, the jabs, the hopping on his feet... He WANTED to aggravate Casey, and you know what? He did just that. Tough tits, kids, you're nothing but a liar and everyone knows it.

I hate people like him >_>

Why the HELL is this on the news? It's a freaking bully situation in a school. Nobody died, nobody was seriously injured (the short one got a scar on his leg. Big deal.) And, as far as we can tell, this was not a hate crime. Stop making this bigger than this is and just let bygones be bygones. This is stupider than having Charlie Sheens craziness take up a full page in the newspaper. This isn't a news worthy story. It isn't even freaking news!
The reason why the news likes it is because bullying is a big problem in schools that often gets shoved under the rug. It's an uplifting story of a kid who stands up to his bully, that was actually caught on tape. Not all news has to be grim and about death, injury, and hate crimes, you know.

The reason why the internet likes it? ...Cmon. How many kids Casey's age are there that can execute a pile driver? That's just awesome.

I bloody knew it!

I've been saying that 'zangief' prick is more at fault then the kid 'bullying' him since I heard about it.

Why? Because he felt it necessary to resort to MUCH WORSE physical violence.
1) look at the kid who got slammed, he's fucking TINY
2) that move he used could cause major spinal damage (up to paralysis)
and 3) He didn't have to resort to that extreme even IF the little kid was the bully.

I've been in that circumstance before. I've been attacked by bigger guys then me, by smaller guys then me. Bigger guys, the best solution was to run and get help cause you couldn't take them. The way everyone is praising this kid for being a violent shit is disgusting.

So he decided to gather up friends, surround Heynes, punch him and slap him...

Because Heynes called him an idiot and told him to get to class?

Sorry squirt, not convinced, I'm still with Casey.

You're just a tiny little douche that can't handle the fact that you've been exposed to the world, cry some moar.

PS: Nice comments you left that girl on FB there, now I kinda wish Casey had done a bit more then just slam you into the ground.

Regardless of if this kid is honest or not about being insulted, try and picture if things went just a little differently.

The kid landed pretty much on his head, just a little to the side. ON CONCRETE.

The kid was lucky to get away with just a minor concussion at best. A little differently and the kid would have a snapped neck meaning total paralysis or even death.
I don't care how much people like to wank off to 'anti-bullying' crap, but if you do something that could potentially kill someone and you get rewarded/praised for it? That's retarded.
Especially since it looked like the bigger kid was able to just shrug off most of the punches anyway.

What a childish little shit that kid is.

He literally has the attention of the entire Austrailian continent and the internet bearing down on him and all he can think to say is the 'he started it first' excuse. Why would one guy bully someone who obviously had friends?

I foresee many, many more pizzas arriving at his house.
What do you mean by more pizza's arriving at his house? You mean the younger one, right?

So a tiny little buck-toothed and wall-eyed kid doesn't get bullied, but a kid the size of a monster truck who literally breaks other kids in half is? I don't...wuh?!

Okay, let's play devil's advocate...

If that had happened... that kid would have gotten acquitted by ANY jury, because it is OBVIOUS who the aggressor is. It is called SELF DEFENSE. He acted in a single, resolute motion to abruptly END the situation and the torment.
What if the other kid had blinded him in an eye? I saw that happen in highschool.. a kid got hit in the eye just the right way and lost the eye.

Or let's take it in a different direction..

What if the big kid decided that he'd had enough, but instead of slamming that little shit to the ground (probably the first time that kid has ever had someone fight back judging from the "fun" he seemed to be having boxing on 'fatty') he went home got a gun, came back and shot up the school.. who would have been the "monster" then? Who would we be persecuting in the media?

You got it.. Mr. Victim would have been painted a murdering psycho.

But I have serious doubts you truly believe the things you're saying, you're just going against the grain probably just to be non-conformist. You're cracked if you think a person should simply stand there, no matter how much bigger or smaller you are, taking jabs and punches in the FACE and pretend like "Oh well those couldn't have hurt much so he shouldn't have responded." BULLSHIZZLE, my friend. If you pull the tiger's tail, you better be prepared to get the mutha frakking claws.

In the very LEAST he antagonized that incident and brought ANY and ALL consequences upon himself. If he ended up in a wheelchair for the rest of his pathetic little life, I'd have not shed ONE tear of sympathy for him. People have to learn and sometimes life teaches some extremely hard lessons. You don't throw knives at people, you don't run into the street before looking, you don't pull on Superman's cape, and you don't go having your friends film you slapping around the guy that has a 50-100 pound weight advantage over you.

That kid stepped up and demanded a big ol' helping of whoop-ass pie and got it served up promptly, with a side of shame.

Zangief Kid took three punches to the face and two to the stomach, if that's not self-control then I don't know what is. Then there's the whole "attacking someone much bigger than you = bad idea" deal. What a particularly stupid bully.

Am I positive about what happened? No. But his story just sounds too fishy. He recorded the video of him happening to get picked on? Do you really expect us to believe that those punches he did were in self defense? Because that's not a self defense punch. You couldn't sound more made up then, "He called me an idiot", and its far to easy to imagine a serious case of selective memory. No, the smart money is that he picked on the fat kid, and the fat kid snapped, and now that hes gone viral as a bad guy, he's backpedaling as fast as he possibly can.

Okay, watching the video of the fight again.

Richard walks up to Casey first, grabs him by the collar of this shirt and throws the first punch to Casey's face.

Richard comes back attempts to throw a second punch, this time Casey deflects it.

Richard recoils back and starts moving around as though he's "getting pumped", and then turns his head to the girl at his left, and then back to Casey.

Throws another punch at Casey's stomach, Richard's friend continues to comment.

Richard throws a punch at Casey and pulls it back at the last second, he does this multiple times. (If anyone here has been bullied before, you may remember that trick as someone trying to make you flinch and then taunting you for doing so.)

Casey moves his hands up towards his face.

Richard punches Casey in the stomach, and Casey reacts by lunging onto him, picking him up, and slamming him into the concrete.

Casey immediately steps to the side away of Richard.

Another student approaches and is either coming to Richards aide, or attempting to stop the fight.

Casey walks away and the student attempts to follow him, implicating his role as Richards friend further antagonizing Casey.

A girl steps in front of the anonymous student and slowly pushes him back away from Casey.

The girl steps aside and the student continues walking towards Casey.

Richard slumps over to the camera and collapses.

There's the evidence, people can lie, but the events of that video actually happened. Looks to me like Richard is the aggressor, as shown by his behavior and body language during the video. Whilst Casey appears to be on the defensive up until he lunges after Richard.

My mind is made up, no matter how much the brat cries on TV.

you do not punch someone for name calling. it's stupid to get angry at some random fuckin guy who decides to call you an idiot. shit, i get called worse than idiot daily by people i consider friends. punching someone in the face, as well as ganging up on him, trying to humiliate him, is not justified by him saying "get to class, idiot" i don't care if casey called him anything, the kid punched him in the face and stomach. you can get seriously injured from hits to the face. then the kid tried to choke him. casey snapped. he fought back. little kid turned into a pissant and decided to whine about it, instead of saying "yeah, i picked a fight and i lost badly" i've had fights much worse than that, with more than one opponent. wheres my screentime, dammit.

Eh...I´m not buying this kid´s story. His lack of remorse is obvious.

Post edited because the accuracy of the photo is not confirmed.
You don't make sense. If he is the victim, he shouldn't show remorse.

Never the less, I agree, the skinny kid if lying.
1-We see him crying before the interview. To show us how hurt he is. But when he actually talks about the fight or the worldwide anger he is receiving, his emotional level stays the same. Th emotions should come back.

2-"He must know some sort of fighting sport."
NO! he doesn't. He didn't block you! Don't try to find excuses for your defeat.

3-Look at him move. He is provocative. He's in the open and the fat kid is staying still against the wall; he's unsure and on the defensive.

4-"He abused me first".... "abuse" such distancing language. Not true! Liar! When the fat kid tells his story, he describes the actions, he doesn't summarize them.

5-If the fat one had provoked and insulted him to the point where he fights a kid twice his age, he would have a very precise memory of what he said.
And again the way he moves. Hes not exploding in anger. Hes hitting, looking at the effect his punch got, then hitting again. He's not going berserk. He's in control!

6-The tone of voice. The fat one has a much more timid and shy tone of voice. Witch is to be expected from a bullied kid.
The skinny one is more affirmative and confident when he talks.

That little kid a liar and a bully. I bet he even lies to his parents.

The video is stupid. They didn't interview the teachers or other classmates. They would easily know who's the bully and who's the punching bag.
And what about the guy filming ??

To be honest, the biggest thing that works in Casey's favor (in my opinion) is that after he slams the other kid down, he walks away. He could have STOMPED that punk into the sidewalk after that in a fit of rage (which would have still been justified), but he didn't. He ended the torment and walked away. And quite frankly, the most damning evidence of all is the video itself... as in because it got made in the FIRST place. If Ritchard was "defending" himself, there would have been no need for his "friends" to film his fancy footwork...
Although I kind of question if the word "friends" is accurate, since it says a lot about Ritchard's buddies that they knowingly posted this video online anyway, even though it completely humiliates their buddy.
