Wow... I just finally got my 360 fixed, and have yet to start playing Blops 2 again (need Gold first) but... now im not sure I want to be associated with this shit... I mean seriously... We're going to kill someone over fractions of a second? The Fuck!?
Your avatar has now become ironic as frame data changes in fighters can literally break combos and people have been upset before (though I should add NOT LIKE THIS YOU TWITS)

on a side note, Mr. Amrich's comment is really something that should be plastered on the walls of everyone who wants games to be considered an art. Stop acting like a mob of lobotomized angry seals and start acting like adults if you want to have games treated with respect that is deserved. Let's put this in perspective, if a major change happened in Blazblue that severely affected my combos, i'd be pissed but I would not cross the line; don't cross the line here.

God, if they ever started playing League, Riot HQ would be in flames by the end of the month...

I mean them justifying an under a second change to a gun is apparently worth more hate than "Hi, i'm Phreak and in this video i'm going systematically break down why we nerfed the fuck out of Olaf so he's now totally unviable."

They even admitted they went too far... Buff already pls

Fuck is COD even supposed to be balanced seriously? Remember the double Models in MW2? Best thing EVER!

I miss MW2... It was so batshit broken and new glitches were found every other month it was endearing, charming and fun as hell. Every other COD game is just boring in comparison. Seriously, remember when you could get infinite Care Packages and you had just both teams spamming the FUCK out of them? You could run really, really fast if you equipped a Care Package because you're not loaded down by a gun which spawned the Marathon + Commando + Care Package knife hilarity? The rapid fire AC130? The glitch that made your gun have no reload?

Fuck that game was great.
You know what, if they made shooters like that, I'd probably be on them. The only thing close is TF2 with it's odd quirks and bugs but that is infinitely more fun than COD (helps that the classes are unique and have personality)

Seeing such behavior, in the most public of spaces no less, can make you wonder what sort of audience such games are really reaching.

I like Call of Duty, I had great fun in CoD 4 and MW2, but I HATED the community to the core. What creates this community that its ok to give people death threats? Is it the game? Is it the pace? I don't know.

Let's find the cause of the problem and try to fix it. I know I can get really ticked off with some games, I'm a massive World of Tanks fan and I can go a bit over the top after a long day, but threatening people with death... over a patch which on paper... is a series of lines of letters and numbers.

This is not right if we are to be a people of justice, decency and progression. Someone just... slap these people across the face. Please, just slap them. No jail time, not thousands of pounds down the drain, just SLAP them.

And he takes it stride. Good on him for that.

Meanwhile, Fish gets called a bad name, tells someone to off themselves, and quits the business...

...

The human mind is a magical thing, isn't it?

Y'know I never got to enjoy the prepatched version of Battlefield 2 where M95 rounds could explode FAV engines, destroying a buggy and netting 3 kills instantly. If I can handle that dissappointment of missed-out-on hilarity, these guys can gamer-up and handle a couple of milliseconds adjustment. However important they think it is, however it screws up the delicate balance of their hair-sensitivity to FPS timings, they made themselves the dick when they thought threats of violence were a reasonable response.

I'm one of the most absurdly pro free speech people ever, to the point of being offensive, but he's right. This really isn't ok.
Free speech has its limits and threats of violence are not protected speech. In other words I could call you an asshole and the first amendment is behind me but if I say I want to beat you to death with your own shoes it isn't. As a matter of fact I would technically be committing a crime by doing so ([link]http://definitions.uslegal.com/h/harassment/[/link]). The thing is the anonymity afforded by modern communications allows people to be the douche nozzles they actually are and they are amazingly loud about it.

The only thing I really know about this game is this meme. Threats from obnoxious children are petty & empty, unless they know where you live & it's within biking distance from their house.

*picture*

You know, I was going to comment how foolish is to treat someone for a patch, but instead I will comment to the pic you posted...

Why we care about the target audience?
Do you think because I love the old Call of Duty games [CoD2 specifically] and watching MLP is wrong?
And I know is a meme, but come on, this is wrong to judge you because like something is supposed only for children or adults....

I really wish people would stop trying to bait me on this issue...

As I said at the beginning of the comment, I defend speech to the point of being offensive, INCLUDING some cases of violent speech as saying something violent without actually having intentions of violence is meaningless. The asshole comment and the shoe thing have exactly the same weight when applied with the same intentions.

Furthermore, I agreed with the developer. In this case, I feel it isn't ok to be slinging death threats simply because it is entertainment and the changes to the game are so tiny.
