I actually do not like this and that is painful to say 'cause dinosaurs are awesome. But currency is not something that should be debased or treated as some kind of joke, as money is the lifeblood of a nation. But this is small fry compared to United States' money, we have not minted a good coin scene the Kennedy half dollar and our coins are all made of junk metal and have goofy or just plain ugly carvings. The government also loses money on many of the coins they make.

...alright I will shut up now and stare at the dinosaur coins, because I want to like them.

What I can't figure out is why the country keeps voting for him... Oh wait, the other parties are worse, the NDP are communists, and the Liberals tried to have a guy who wanted to take away the child tax credit and a guy who hadn't lived in Canada for 25 years (and bash the crap out of Canada while doing so) run for office, both of whome can't find their asses with a map.
I think what it comes down to in the end is having a minority (while good for the country in my opinion) forced the Conservatives to make deals that prevented any overly partisan bills. Since they can tie that period to their party name, people see them as a good solution. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt for now. But I swear, prorogue one more time to stifle debate and I might have to become a card carrying member of one of the other parties.

As far as the debate on the political situation goes, hopefully the Libs will get back on their feet. Don't really care for Mulcair, what little I've seen of him (certainly not Layton) and Stephen Harper is the devil so... Liberals...

O.T. I would never pay that much for the coins myself but my birthday is coming around so... Grandma?

The Liberals with Martin as their Finance Minister would be ideal. There's no way I can support a party headed by NDP Bob. Did you like that nickname? I made it myself several months ago, I want credit if it gets into the media.

Now they have fossils on both sides.
Interesting choice of words considering your coins all have dead people on them.

OT: Dino-coins! About the only thing cooler would be if the Queen turned into Batman. Or Wolverine.

This would be so helpful. I can't count all the times I fish coins from my pocket in a dark bar or club just to loose quarters like crazy. Now (if it lands tails? up) you can find it easily.

Canada: First country to adopt dinosaurs on their money, and they pick one of the least threatening dinosaurs around. Good one, guys. Way to not pick any of the pride, fear, or respect instilling Jurassic Park attractions. You really do this to yourselves, you know. We just use what you give us.

Really this is just an attempt by the Mint to see if they can out-ridiculous Niue's currency:

Yes there is somewhere in the world with Pokemon coins.
Now there's a commemorative currency where I'd want to catch them all.

The opposite face of the coin will feature an image of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second, Queen of this Realm, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith, but which sadly does not reveal a glow-in-the-dark image of a Jewish lizardwoman [http://www.davidicke.com/articles/reptilian-agenda-mainmenu-43/50751-david-icke-the-reptilians-the-schism-obama-and-the-new-world-order-] when the lights go down.
Oh god, I had forgotten all about those crazies. I shall now rejoice in many Youtube videos thanks to you!

Maybe they can use the dinosaur coins to pay off a portion of their massive [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justin_Bieber] cultural [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Celine_Dion] debt [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nickelback].

And the Queen is still older than all of them put together.
That's generally the result of a life spent not getting shot.

There are laws against shipping currency, is there anyway I could get these to England?
It may be possible, but you would have to look into the law about collectible coin shipping, not currency shipping.
