I like Canada, i wouldn't trade it for anything else :)

And no, not all Canada speaks french, mostly Quebec, a little in New Brunswick,Ontario and Manitoba, apart from that it's like 1/100000 :p

Canada also has not been hit by the recession

The one bad thing about Canada is the way parts of the country speak French

Canada, and more specifically the praries, have brought us Bachman-Turner Overdrive and The Guess Who, with such great songs as You ain't seen nothing yet and These eyes. Winnie the Pooh is named after Winnipeg, and the spy from WWII that James Bond is based off of is also from Winnipeg. I could go on.. but I think I'll stop.

First one is mostly true, the second is funny.

that's not true, we rely a lot on the states for exporting, we weren't hit as hard because of heavy regulations on our banking and mortgage industries. our government stopped banks from doing what the american ones did, which the banks cried about at the time but now they are overly thankful about it

Free health care is what I think. Which I disagree to. But I'm uninformed, so I don't know much about that country, so I'll stay out of this.

Canada is such a beautiful country and I plan to move there when I get older. (That or England. Haven't decided yet but I know for damn sure I don't want to stay in America)

Which ever has the best health care and tax system. I'm not sure what percentage of your yearly income goes to the government in Canada or England. Anyone here know for sure?

It is one of the better places to live. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else, but I also don't really think you should talk about any country like this. Debating an issue is alright, but opening up a thread for people to start bashing someones homeland is a bad idea.

Canada is like America on quaaludes.

(to be clear, I'm saying that's a good thing)
I agree with this, seeing I live in the "California" of Canada, and it may sound nice but it isn't..... I would rather be in Calgary......

Canada is like a version of America where the people never wanted to separate from England (or France).

As for the income tax question someone asked it's about 30% (not including income under $8,500 which is exempt), but more if you make a lot of money.

I got shouted at by a security guard in Toronto, so therefore New england/New york > Ottowa. I didn't mind Quebec, though. Montreal was stunning.
