Dont know if they cancelled it but I dont think they are making a third series of Rome... which is really sad cos it was great.

Perhaps it may be for the best as some series the more episodes they make the more ridiculous they become. Still wouldnt say no to a third series tho =P

Dexter is still going right?
I dont watch TV but I buy the Series on boxset if I like it, and Dexter should never be cancelled... ever.
Yes, it's just in between seasons. I can't wait for it to start up again. That and Weeds are the best shows left on TV.

What really perplexes me is that some crap shows like CSI and Law & Order get tons of spin-offs and stay on forever. Do that many people really watch that crap, or did they just get a lucky time slot?

I still remember when MTV cancelled Clone High after one season, it hurt so bad.
Pass me that raisin doobie!

I feel your pain, but I remember hearing that the problem with Clone High was how it was received overseas, people weren't happy about the way Ghandi was portrayed and protested the show and it lost its European carriers as a result. ZZZ. My friends and I still find a few times a year to watch the show on dvd though, especially the raisin smoking episode :D

I'm up there with you. Almost all of my friends have neer heard of it. It's also a shame that the first season was amazing and that the second season left me with a bitter taste.

Heroes (one of my favs) is always rumoured to be getting the axe. I can't deal with the pressure!
Heroes is about as likely to be canceled as Fox is to stop purporting to serve "news".

No, I loved Jericho also. And I watched the alternate ending to the season 2 finale, and I really wished they had continued from there. What a great concept.

If anybody ever cancels Supernatural (at least, before a GOOD series finale), I will hunt them and send them straight to hell.

RIP Moonlight.

Let's look at this:

Moonlight - A decent detective/vampire show that really came into it's own in the latter half of the season and had some great subplots that would have carried the show for a few years at least.

OR, the show they can canceled it for:

The Ex-List - A story about a girl (ridiculously named "Bella Bloom") who learns from a psychic at a bachelorette party that she has already met "Mr. Right." She then proceeds to hunt down and re-date every man she's ever dated.

Moonlight had it's faults, to be sure, but it really became interesting (not to mention ended on a cliffhanger). And The Ex-list lasted for a total of 5 episodes I believe.

Let's see, where to start? There are just soo many, most of which have already been listed in this thread. Stuff like Futurama, Firefly, Arrested Development, etc.

Pushing Daisies is probably at the top of my list. That show had everything. Love triangles, mystery, quirky humor, talking dead people. You name it. That cancellation can be laid at the feet of ABC and that go-to scapegoat for the past year that is the Writer's Strike.

As for everything else, well, Fox has a history of having a very strong aversion for anything it puts on that air that's actually, well, good. That's the best explanation I have to why they canceled something as popular as Firefly and Futurama. I'm actually surprised that they haven't canned House yet based on that theory. After all, how else is Fox going to make room on their network for such TV gems like (insert reality TV show here).

Ah, Moonlight. It started as an Angel ripoff, but quickly became much darker in tone. Whereas Angel had his no-kill rules, Mitch had no qualms killing if he thought it best solved his problems. Even his human love interest sent a man to his death for the crime of being a paparazzi. I thought the show was just starting to hits its stride when it was canceled. And it's a shame, especially since most supernatural-based shows need time to develop their audiences. Too bad no one seems willing to give them that time.

It was "Mick" btw, lol. But seriously, I was upset when I heard about the cancellation. But at the same time, I wasn't totally shocked by it (See the rest of this thread). It wasn't until I read what was replacing Moonlight that I really got pissed. I can only hope that CBS sees the error come this summer and might revive it, but somehow...I doubt it.

Reaper might be cancelled(my favourite show), my second favourite Life has been cancelled. I am pissed, Life is a great show but NBC never advertised it. Reaper is on the CW which is pretty well a guarantee it wont last long unless it is a black 'comedy'.

I hope they don't cancel it anytime soon it's funny as hell and CW usually has stupid shows like Gossip and 90120 which means there's a good chance it might get canceled

Veronica Mars, Invader Zim, Futurama, and Firefly (of course). I still can't believe they cancelled Zim; it was the last good show Nick has had...
