What really perplexes me is that some crap shows like CSI and Law & Order get tons of spin-offs and stay on forever. Do that many people really watch that crap, or did they just get a lucky time slot?

Oi. Mock Law and Order all you want (most of the spinoffs do stink, and the newer episodes did too) but CSI? The only season of that you'll get away with mocking on my watch is NY. That one... it's just not interesting.

I have to say I was a fan of Pushing Daisies.

All those shows follow the same formula. They tweak the details a bit, but there aren't really any original story ideas in any of them. Entirely too predictable and cliché for me. The worst is CSI Miami with that tool in the sunglasses always acting like everything he says is profound in some way. Give me a break.

Futurama was one of the best cartoon series ever. Leaps and bounds above stuff like Simpsons, Family Guy, and King of the Hill. Only Gargoyles could compare, oh wait lets have a bad third season then cancel it, and then make a new comic series, AND THEN cancel it. You bastards.

And I heard Spectacular Spider-Man isn't going to be picked up for a 3rd season. Why does the universe hate Greg Weisman?

If Batman Brave and the Bold gets cancelled, the murders are going to begin.

Also, incase you hadn't heard, there is a new Stargate series in the works, Stargate Universe, so the lack of stargate won't last long.

Stargate Universe (the synopsis so far) sounds retarded. My friends and I agree that Universe needs to be axed before it starts and Atlantis restarted.

Meh, I'll give it a chance before I naysay it. I have to admit though, the teaser they released for it about a month or so ago didn't leave the best taste in my mouth. I'll give it at least 6 episodes before I make a judgement on it though.

I don't know if it was justified or not, but my first childhood experience with a cliffhanger cancellation was Alf. The Melmacian spaceship was descending, the army was closing in and they promised it was "To be continued..." - it never was.

I never trusted network executives again.

So, Escapist fans, any shows these season or past years you feel were unjustly canceled (yes, I'm expecting waves of browncoats in this reply)? Or anyone want to take the networks' side?

*Insert the usual rant about Firefly being cancelled despite being good enough to be an everlasting classic*

The show was great and Fox gave it one season because nobody watched it on Friday night. Maybe if, as high_castle said, they actually advertised it, and seriously, why do they air new shows on Friday night, when most people actually do something other than sit around watching TV? I don't know, I just really hate Fox for things like this.

Great. So some of the best shows on TV won't be coming back at all, while another truly unique show is getting a reduced season. Yet somehow all these cheap reality knockoffs keep going on like the Energizer bunny.

That's another reason I hate these networks, and also the general population. My cousin and one of my bet friends put it very well:
"It just goes to show that America likes crap."
I feel that sums it up pretty well.

Hell yes, Mystery Science Theater 3000 is fucking hilarious. I watched a video in my Sci-Fi class at my school, ah, memory lane has never been so awsome

Looking back, all the good shows that were cancelled on various networks is enough to make me cry.

Though I am extremely pissed they cancelled Chronicles, I, at least, can finally not be associated with the News Corporation (Fox's parent company) and not feel like a hypocrite when I ***** about Fox. So I guess what I'm saying is: Thanks Rupert Murdoch for not only allowing me to fully hate you and your company, but giving me yet another reason to do so.
