In many games there are those enemies that exist for nothing more than to die, this thread is here to pay homage to the suicide squad of gaming.

The cowardly grunts of halo, the Goombas of Mario or anything low enough for you to grind on in Final Fantasy what is your favorite cannon fodder enemy?

Mine has to be the Goombas in New Super Mario Bros. as they dance along to the levels music.

That said, give me your two cents.

I didn't "Take" the grunts, I just used them as an example of cannon fodder that I thought would be well recognized.

By using them as an example than they have been taken, and I can no longer be original because I would than be repeating what has already been said. Do you not understand my dilemma

Hey I loved those slimes, but I did leave many dead in my wake.

Oh yeah and some grunts. Hmmmm.
What about zombies in just about every zombie game. Their just fodder until run into a super zombie or a fatty.

The Grunts are what I think of when the term "Cannon Fodder" arises.
They are pretty much useless.

those first dudes in every FPS....................you know what I'm talking about unless your in that "super dupery hard you must be really bored or have no life" difficulty also ...............you know what I'm talking about

That's the first thing I thought of as well.

The A500 version, of course. The others are vastly inferior.

When you say "cannon fodder" I immediately think of me in Team Fortress 2.

A better answer would be the Many zombies from System Shock 2. Partly because they're so damn sneaky, partly because they yell "I'm sorry... Kill me!" as they attack. Suicidal mind-controlled barely-human androids creeping up behind you... that's the stuff of nightmares.

The soldiers in the cannon levels of Heavenly Sword. They pretty much literally are Cannon Fodder. The objective is to kill 700 of them in 3 minutes, they die that easy. Plus it's so much fun to zoom a cannonball straight up into an individual soldier's face.

If you don't know what I mean, you haven't wielded one of Adam's handheld chainsaws or visited the underground maintenance tunnel.

For the record, they just did an article on this in GameInformer. Also, I'd say the Nazis in Call of Duty 5. Your Russian allies even talk about them like this.
