Epic Rock Snip
That's some seriously awesome rock there. Bravo to you, sir. Just on a side note, how long have you been playing, and what gear are you using?

OT: Rock is the best music to listen to, methinks. Well, rock and metal, gotta love it all.
Thanks, Demonguy792. I got my first guitar about 9 years ago now, so I've had time to practice.

Gear?
I have a bit of a collection that I have accumulated over the years. For this recording though:
-Gibson Les Paul Classic
-Orange Tiny Terror + Cab
-Big Muff + Holy Stain pedal(for reverb)
-Drums done on an old roland electric kit.

Thanks for the kind words.

Another epic rock snip, will they ever stop?
I've digged your stuff in some other thread aswell, it hasn't got any worse.

ZZ Top isn't really my thing, but rock lives on. It's definitely not bad though. I like more laid back, groovy riffs, with loads of ol' muffy fuzzy distortion.

Sex Panda's jam is closer to my street. Still reminds me of Clutch, and also Sonic Flower.

Not so much of a rocker in the overblown ozzy osbourne sense, but I love Led Zeppelin.

oh and ive recently gotten into soundgarden, I never knew they were so good. I'd only ever really heard black hole sun before, but yeah they rule too though not as much as led zep.

Yeah I'm a rocker. So I thought I'd share this with you.
Hi dude, I loved that song, thank you so much for sharing. Which album of theirs can you recommend? I'm in need of something fresh to add to my library of CD. No rush, I still have 17 hours to place my order on Amazon for delivery on Thursday.
Sorry, I know very little about their albums, I listen to individual tracks.
However, I got about 6 other bands I can recommend.

AC/DC. Any of their first 5 international releases, with Bon Scott. BallBreaker, Razor's Edge, Black Ice are also great albums. Get AC/DC Live Collector's Edition (Or standard if you need to spend less) It's Freakin Awesome. I actually Don't recommend getting back in black because AC/DC live has all the best tracks on their, and they sound so much better than they do on the album.

Ozzy. The Essential Ozzy Osbourne is money well spent. No More Tears is also a great album.

Judas Priest. The Essential Judas has a ton of great tracks. Also British Steel, Screaming For Vengeance, Turbo, Ram IT down. Hell get every album except the two with Ripper Owens singing instead of Rob Halford, and forget Nostradamus.

Iron Maiden. The Essential Iron Maiden. The Number of The Beast is considered their iconic album.

Black Sabbath. Hard Road. Paranoid. Any other album with Ozzy.

Megadeth. This band is an acquired taste. I never cared for them until a buddy of mine really got me into them. Pick up Capitol Punishment: The Megadeth Years IT's a great collection.

Metallica. Blackened, Ride the Lightning, ...And Justice For all, Master of Puppets isn't bad either.

EDIT: Get AC/DC Live at Donington on DVD. I got it from Wal-Mart a while back for real cheap. Also Judas Priest Rising in The East concert DVD.

Why dont you just tell the drummer the facts:

Fact #1: No one cares what the drummer thinks.

Thats it. :D
...might be a little harsh, funny though.
I'm quite pushy and opinionated, I really need someone who is just going to be happy to go with the flow. Which is why I'm giving my(inexperienced)friend a whirl, aside from the fact that I like spending time with her, it's also one less ridiculous male ego in the band.

In all seriousness. The last drummer I was testing out quit because my songs "didn't sound enough like Coldplay"...that's what I'm dealing with.
Ew... if I was the front man of that band when he said that I would have vomited... right in his face.

I think he would have gotten the message. :D
Exactly what I did, no...not really(damn!...why didn't I do that?) The reality(as is usually the case)was far less cool.
Him: I want to sound more like Coldplay, so I don't think this is going to work out.
Me: But...there's already a Coldplay, they're called "Coldplay"...there's already a band like coldplay too, Snow Patrol...where does it stop?
Him: Yeh, but it's what I like now.
Me: *exhales slowly* Alright, c ya.

A shame really, the guy could really play.

I like your Paedo Finder General avatar, it's deliciously sinister.
Thats 2... only 2 people have recognised who it is since I changed to it... about 2 months ago.
