You can't understand or you can't sympathize? Because it should be very easy to understand: nine months and content that should have been in the original.

Did they add Phoenix Wri- aww damn it... Well Capcom looks like you're still not getting my money.
I can't believe this Is the comment I say this to but... You're being too harsh on Capcom XD
How's he supposed to fight, Sue them for assault?!?
He could throw the Objection! logo at his enemies, point at them rather than punch and present evidence!

Oh and The Judge could flatten an enemy with his gavel as his super/ultimate move

And this would all be spritual damage of course so at zero health they just give up and lie down XD

Doctor Strange? FUCK. Iron Fist? FUCK. Rocket Raccoon? ...Good Idea, wait, he's small, so he'll have to be like Joe or amaterasu... FUCK.

I have a feeling the only reason Venom's not in it is because Venom's no longer Eddie Brock or some bullshit like that.

Thanks for charging me $70 for nothing Capcom, really appreciate it! Why can't this be DLC? You know the DLC they promised they were going to release for the original game. Not even Hawkeye can get me to shell out more money for this scam.

So when is the Super Ultimate Uber Fantastic Mega Hyper Extreme Atomic Awesome Championship HD Remix Beatific Edition coming out?

What is this? I already own MvC3. Now I have to sell the copy I have when this game comes out? I love Marvel vs Capcom 3, why the FUCK do I have to spend more money on a game that is essentially the same thing I already ow-

...Ghost Rider you say?

Take my money.

Ya, and the same thing happened with SF4 and SSF4, and has happened with every other fighting game ever. That's how they work and what makes a new fighting game. Some genres add new content with a new story, or some new levels, or areas. Fighting games add them with new balance patches, new characters, and new areas to fight.

That and the game like SSF4 is not being released at full price but as $40, so you are paying less for a game that has more...I don't get it the hate..

Well, it's like this...

The logical part of my brain is saying, "This is a fairly obvious cash-in, Capcom HAD to have been saving all this content for another disc-based release."

But the fan part of my brain is screaming, "HOLY CRAP NEW CHARACTERS! Ghost Rider looks awesome, and Hawkeye shooting Ant Man is awesome, and Strider looks awesome, and Firebrand... well, I don't really know Firebrand, but he looks awesome!".

Damn you Capcom, you know my vice all too well.

At least we're finally getting spectator mode, I really missed that in MvC3. And for the love of god Capcom, PUT FRANK WEST AND MEGAMAN IN THIS ONE. Please.

This should be a fucking patch! Not a new game! You don't make a boat with holes in it and send it out to sail so why do that with a game?! I might buy this, only if it isn't another bloody $60.

Yeah, typical Capcom. I'm selling my pre-owned MvC3 to pay off for a pre-owned MvC3 Ultimate. None of my money is going to those fucks.

It didn't happen with Marvel vs Capcom 1 or 2. And they had more of an excuse to release an Ultimate version then because they couldn't simply patch it.

This still doesn't seem to solve the real problem, which is no real story mode to go on. Even Mortal Kombat 9 had a story mode! The lack of any real story mode when the trailers seemed to hint at some kind of amazing plot involving Wesker teaming up with a bunch of other evil villains was something that really made me angry. I know I should have done more research, but they also shouldn't have made very story-driven trailers for a game that has no real story.

Wait, so it's the same engine, game and characters?
But with a few new fighters, and a online mode.... for full price?

Ahahahhaaaa... no.
Its getting the same expansion price that SSF4 got, $40.

And its a fighting game update...meaning new characters, new stages, balance tweaks and updates, online updates and other things.

I don't understand why people get mad at this...you are buying more content =/

Did you read the article that article in the first post?
"Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 releases this November for $39.99."

Same as Super Street Fighter 4.
It's basically an expansion pack, so obviously it will use the same engine and keep the old characters.
Thank you for pointing out that the price is not, as I thought, full price.

Still a bit too high, though.

See this is just like a slap to the face to all the fans that bought the original. They paid $60 for the original and then all the people that never bought it are getting a chance to buy a better version at $40. The original fans being the fans that they are will most likely then buy the new version, so they're paying $100 while people who didn't even support the game can buy it for $40.

I know I already posted, but I just realized something about the pricing of this.

In all likelyhood, it's going to cost $40, like SSF4 did. If that's true, this is actually quite a deal for how much we will likely pay.

Look at it like this. Downloadable fighters cost $5 a piece, right? Well, since Ultimate is getting 12 new characters in it, then:

12 x 5 = 60

..and we save 20 bucks. Plus, that's not counting new modes, new stages, and improved online. Alot of which probably couldn't have been simply patched into the existing game.

This might not be as raw a deal as I was thinking at first.

True, but considering the DLC alternative (paying $5 for each character added since the original release would cost $70), I'll take the $40 retail. Hopefully, Gamestop will have some kind of trade-in bonus with the original version.
