Hackers, check up on that shit.

I am not condoning this practice at all but it could just be voices and character models so that when they release the characters animations in a later patch (when the DLC comes out) then the people that buy the DLC can use the moves but the people who dont can just see them.VonKlaw said:"Following the report, Capcom acknowledged that the content is on the disc but claimed that it was necessary to include it in order to ensure that people who don't buy the extra content can still play online with those who do."
Or you could have just...let people play it anyway?
Hate to tell you this, but Vader was on the Xbox version of Soul Calibur 4, although only Yoda and Starkiller are availible.Lord Beautiful said:And wouldn't that just be seventeen shades of glorious?StriderShinryu said:It makes me wonder if the cats and Cole are on the 360 disc as well.

Ace Attorney my friend. Ace Attorney.CleverCover said:Or the people can just wait for the Ultimate Super Mega Street Fighter Versus Tekken with 20 characters never seen before for the value of 40 dollars.
Does anyone really pre-order anything Capcom without feeling ripped off anymore?
Blazblue is a much better example. at least im pretty sure it is.Vault Citizen said:Would there be any way to get the content from the disc without buying the DLC?
edit - sorry, just realised that would probably be illegal, nevermind.
further edit - Contrary to what Capcom claims it is not neccessary. Fable II had a perfectly good system where each DLC pack was released alongside a free version. The free version didn't give you any of the content of the DLC but it allowed to you play multiplayer with those who had bought the DLC.
Those same people think I'm entitled because I want AAI2 to be released here. Or because I want the other four game boy Mega Man games and X2 and X3 on the Virtual Consoles.Lord Beautiful said:Depends on the fan. I've seen a fair amount of people on the Capcom-Unity forums call the rest of us "entitled" for thinking we should have access to what's on the disk.Andy Chalk said:Capcom's explanation may be perfectly valid, but in the eyes of many angry Street Fighter fans it's probably also perfectly worthless.
EDIT:
Didn't see "many" in your post at first. Guess that makes this post a bit redundant.
Do you have a copy of the letter? I'm not good at this type of stuff.Trishbot said:I went a step further than just being upset and voting with my wallet.
I wrote Capcom up to the Better Business Bureau AND the Federal Trade Commission for flagrantly lying about their product and calling on-disc content "downloadable" content. It's not DLC if you don't download it, but they STILL refer to these characters as downloadable characters.
That's false advertising and it is ILLEGAL under the terms of the FTC Act.
So, I encourage people to also take a few moments and file a complaint with either the BBB or FTC.

I refuse to stand by and let companies lie to us. Consumers have rights, and too many of us don't know that we do. So do something about it and together we CAN stop this.
