I would love to have seen Clint Eastwood play the Punisher. It's a pity he's 79 and has stated that Gran Torino was his last acting role.

Simon Pegg - Wee Hughie. But that's who the character was modeled off of, so I'm not very original there. oh, and read The Boys. It's Brutally Awesome!

I could see Clive Owen playing Cable. I don't get why height is such an important issue to be honest.
[sub]I thought Hugh Jackman made a pretty good Wolverine[/sub]

I can't really think of any original ones at the moment, but I thought Robert Downey Jr was a great choice as Tony Stark, as was Ryan Reynolds for Deadpool.
I agree about height in the case of Cable, him being 6'8 is really unnecessary and only very vaguely related to powers/origin. With Wolverine, that's his thing though, he's a wolverine not a wolf, he is a tiny vicious animal. But that said I think Hugh Jackman was pretty good, I wasn't a huge fan of the last film, but that wasn't his fault.

Some other good ones, well I though Edward Norton made a good a Bruce Banner. In general I liked the casting of the Watchmen.

Seth Rogen as Batman.

Hilarious.
Actually any character is hilarious when thinking of them with his voice, "this city has seen my true face, a hey hey!"

Edit: Crap double post.

General casting for the Watchmen? Who didn't you like? Out of curiosity.

I always thought that Michael Emerson would make a great Riddler in the next Batman film.

If you've ever seen Lost you know this guy has that aura of someone who is much smarter than anyone else and freaking relishes in it.

Well Silk Spectre annoyed me, but I guess that's actually a success as she annoyed me in the comic.

Ozimandas, he was a little too young and thin. He was built like Captain America in the comics, broad shoulders, muscular, strong jaw and in his forties while still looking amazingly fit and handsome. Plus the whole German accent and darker costume made him seem more evil and less ambiguous.

But I thought Nite Owl, The Comedian and Rorshach (despite his wannabe batman voice) were spot on.

Like Mac Gargan?

So i can watch Bruce Willis beat the living crap out of micheal cera.
At first I was like, "WHAT?!" then I was like, "oh...that would be awesome. hehe"

OT: I always thought Crispin Glover would make a pretty good Riddler.

Think about it.

Mine would be Clive Owen to play Marvel's favourite 90s anti hero Cable.
Bah, no. He's too small and too young to play Cable. Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke or Dolph Lundgren would be better choices

Phillip Seymour Hoffman as The Penguin
No. Just... No. Danny De Vito is the only person worthy of playing the Penguin.

Actually I'm surprised I didn't think of Dolph, he is old enough, tall enough, buff enough and looks like him. Not sure if he has the range to play the whole pretend messiah, reluctant leader of his people and world weary man out of time aspects of Cable. But he could definitely play the early X-Force "I have a gun bigger than my body" Cable, which would still be awesome.

It really depends which Cable they chose, he's been drawn as massive to above average sized, disproportionate or proportionate and really old looking to appearing like a guy in his thirties with white hair. Take the Cable from Cable and Deadpool is quite different to the current Cable series (especially early on when they were trying that crappy pseudo-photographic style)

Not Samuel L jackson as nick fury. Not to be raceist but nick fury is white not black.
Ultimate Nick Fury is black and based off Samuel L Jackson. I'm not an ultimates fan, but it makes sense to use a talented actor for a character you've already established as being that actor. Plus it really distances itself from that appalling movie with David Hasselhoff as Nick Fury.
