Does anyone why they'd do such a thing?

Killing and or torturing small animals is actually one of the early warning signs of a sociopath. Chances are then, that at least one of these kids is a legitimate sociopath. The actions of the rest could be explained by the results of Stanley Milgram's experiments, that being that people tend to follow the group, and to follow instructions.

Is that the guy who sits 4 people in a room (3 people in on it) shows a colour (green) the first 3, who are all in on it, say "orange" and the one person who is not in on it says "orange" to be part of the crowd?

Always wondered who it was, I had only heard about the studies.

No, Stanley Milgram is most famous for his shock experiments, which, by the way, would no longer be legal. His subjects believed that when they pressed a button they were shocking a man that they couldn't see (though they could hear his screams), they were instructed to turn up the voltage to lethal levels, and 66% of the participants in his study followed instructions so far that they were willing to shock the man with a lethal dose. The point of his his study being, that if comanded by an authority figure 66% of all people will willingly kill someone else. But you should actually read about it for yourself, my summary is brief, and doesn't fully capture the nature of the study.

Most likely. I can't remember what book it was but the quote went something like this:
"If someone goes into a stable and shoots fifty horses, he's seen as evil. If an oil tanker spills and kills a million carp, he's seen as maybe greedy, but not evil."

Report them, now. If you don't it's just going to get worse. And please people, don't blame the dogs, it's not their fault. Hurting them does nothing, and considering what their owners are like, they've probably had a tough enough life already. It's the owners fault how the animal turns out, not the animals.

I'm sorry, I actually don't have the guts to report them. I have a history with the ring leader and I don't want to make myself a target.

Or train a rottweiler to attack those dogs hehehe these are nasty when angry ^^

If u train another dog to attack the dogs, how will that help? That will just ruin another poor animals life. You're more likely to get the rottweiler taken away and put to sleep. The best thing to do is tell the RSPCA. They will take the dogs and if they can help the animals they will. Only as a last resort will they destroy the animal. Don't bring another innocent dog into this, it just makes it worse. But if the legal system fails to bring these kids to justice as it has with so many animal cruelty cases, someone is in for some series hurt.

As a side note, why are children so bad today?

They're not, children have always been little shits that grow up to be big shits. The reason they appear worse today is because you weren't around to see it in the 60's, or the 30's, or the 1430's, children being evil doesn't stick in the news as a major event.


As for your little shits, with any luck they'll set their dogs on a Staffy or Pitbull by mistake. Then there'll be Lurcher gibs all over the damn stret and one happy Staffy. Staffy's just love to rip shit up.

Alternatively you could report them to the police and/or RSPCA. Training dogs to kill things other than rabbits/rats/birds is all kinds of illegal, although they probably won't be able to act on it until one of the dogs does kill something, which sucks but it's how things are.

Report them and call the RSPCA. I've lived in an area where animal cruelty was high at a point in time. One of our cats were tied up at the tail (or we believe so) and becuase she is def must have freaked out bolted. She came back with half the skin on her tail missing and blood everywhere. We've had a dog baited and killed, a neighbours cat impailed etc. T

This is just animal cruelty of a different nature in my opinion.

LOL they're probably just bored and don't realise the reality of what they're doing ... just tell them you'll call the authorities if they don't stop ... most of the time that's just enough ice cold reality poured down their backs to make them stop ... no one gets hurt, they stop and no long court process .. HAPPY ENDING ...

you call RSPCA ... don't have any proof, get accused of time wasting (and get a fine) AND ON TOP OF THAT the kids sue you for false accusations

OH ... and kids are so bad nowadays because paranoid politically correct parents don't let their children have childhoods ... the kids become bored and think "fuck this shit!" then sneak into clubs, run away from home, some self harm/commit suicide because they lack the social skills to make friends (the skills you develope during CHILDHOOD socialising) or just stick with bad ones .. then they can start drinking and taking drugs, getting pregnant and mugging people all before their sweet 16
