I found that randomly using a level 50 move to get it as far below half way as possible and throwing a net ball caught them, I think the net ball was a coincidence since I caught 2 that way. Btw you can catch another legendary if your in UK if you visit the website it tells you(i've not checked the american website so maybe you can do it there to:)

EDIT: I have just realized this tthread is old and I have commented before ':|

Just hit a and b at ridiculous rates

It works! I swear!
No no no, you have to hold A+Up *JUST* as the Pokéball hits the 'mon you're trying to catch and makes the sound. You have to hold them hard.

Trust me! That's how it works!
What I usually do is draw a pokeball symbol on the touch screen just as the ball closes. It works... probably...

1. When the Pokemon appears, turn your DS screen to face East.
2. Before throwing the Pokeball, 'consecrate' it by saying the following incantation while slaughting a lamb:

"Cruor illae agnae, meam pillam rectet"

3. Once the pokemon is inside the ball, draw the Insignia of Truth on the touch screen, each stroke in time with the movements of the ball. This should guarantee a capture.

Like the thread for Palkia, I've decided to just revive this thread rather than start a new one.
Where is Latios in Emerald? I've gotten to the end of the game and stuff and it's available, but I have no idea where it's wandering at. The wiki says to check my pokedex, but Latios isn't in it yet. So do I just wander in and out of grass and area borders until it appears (and use the master ball I've been saving), or is there another step I missed?
That's pretty much right, but there is another way...

Get the Acro Bike, go to a grassy patch, use any Repel (make sure the first member of your team is either below or the same as Latios' level, which I think is 40 but might well be 50), get on the bike, put something heavy on the B button, go and get some dinner or something, and come back. If Latis has appeared (which is more likely than I thought it was going to be when I tried this), use that Master Ball.
This works because you can encounter Pokemon by hopping in grass, and Repel doesn't count hopping as taking steps so it won't wear off.

But I tried that and it didn't work!

But don't you have to enter and exit the area for Lati@s to change it's area?

Does long grass count as a place to find roaming pokemon? The wiki doesn't say...
